The lobby is fresh and well maintained. I was greeted promptly upon arrival and was checked in efficiently. But our room was dingy. The linens were either off-white or dingy or all the lighting makes it appear so. There were cracks in the ceiling, and the shower fixtures are ancient. And there were weird knocking sounds around the room throughout the night.
Breakfast was an exercise in frustration. We arrived for breakfast just after 8 am, and there was very little hot food left. Like 1 omelette, a few sausages, potatoes, and a few cinnamon rolls. The one employee had no clue how to heat more food, and another came to help but was walking around with no shoes on.
Overall, this was not our best experience with the Holiday Inn Express chain.
