Simple hotel in a good location. Room was clean and comfy. They sent us a door code so we didn't have to worry about the check in time.

The location and the safety was the only thing good about this room. It was part of the main so I felt safe as a solo traveler. But actually checking into the hotel was difficult, had to do everything online and called two people before one of them called me back to let me in so very slow process. I waited in the lobby for quite some time. Then ended up back at my car waiting until someone called me back so I could go in and check in. I could not get the TV on the remote control seem to be dead so I turned it on with a button on the TV but I couldn’t do anything else. So I shut it back up.I called that same number a couple of times to say the room was freezing cold. No one ever called me back. I looked in every closet in every drawer and could not find any extra blankets and could not find any, so I had to sleep in layers of my clothes and my nose was frozen. I only slept a couple hours and could not get warm so I left and went out to my car and warmed up with the seat heaters. I would definitely not come again and I definitely would not recommend.

Non posso dare un giudizio positivo per questa struttura. Sono riuscita a fare il check in automatico solo perchè sono arrivata presso la struttura prima delle ore 16.00 e ho trovato una dipendente che mi ha dato i dati per l'ingresso. Mi è sembrato di capire che fosse necessario avere un telefono con numero americano per poter ricevere il messaggio per accedere. Questo non era specificato al momento della prenotazione. Quando finalmente riesco ad entrare nella camera mi accorgo che è presente un solo letto matrimoniale. La prenotazione era per quattro persone con richiesta di due letti. Non era presente neanche un divano. Ho chiesto alla stessa signora che mi ha consentito l'ingresso perchè non ci fossero due letti e lei ha risposto che le risultava una prenotazione per 4 persone ma che non le risultava che dovessero dormire in due letti!! Mi ha detto di rifare la prenotazione ma che comunque non avevano camere libere. Ho deciso di non fare storie e abbiamo dormito in 4 in un letto. Unica cosa ppena accettabile era il fatto di avere il parcheggio proprio davanti alla camera incluso nel prezzo. Buona posizione sia per chi frequenta il lago che per chi visita il parco nazionale. Assolutamente sconsigliato. Soprattutto la mancanza di collaborazione da parte dell'addetta per risolvere il problema. Molto delusa.

Television did not work. Staff was unable and frankly didn't care about fixing the problem. No housekeeping. No paper products (i.e.- toilet paper in bathroom, etc), 2nd day in... No electricity. Had to threaten filing complaint w/ local police in order to try yo attempt to do anything about that. Manager would not offer to put us in a different room. Staff so uncaring that we decided to leave and find another place to stay for the rest of our trip. Manager also runs an ice cream parlor downstairs. Has a nearly impossible job of trying to run that AND run a hotel at the same time. Problems I suspect with the whole building. Owner is offsite and not a part of day to day operations. In talking with some of the locals, I suspect this is an ongoing kind of thing eith this place. Would definitely recommend you DO NOT BOOK A STAY AT COLONIAL INN & CREAMERY. You'll likely regret it.

The room was dirty. It smelled horrible and was just beside the dumpster. There was noone at the reception. A phone number was provided to call for help, but noone picked up. The bed was broken.

What they call contactless checkin means there is no staff, no front desk, no way to contact them. They provided several phone numbers that nobody would answer and was not set up to accept messages. We left a day early because we could not sleep on the broken bed again, rugs were filthy and constant black flys flying around, grounds were not kept up, very cramped room, just could not look past so many things not to normal standards…

Near State Park. Watkins Glen. Check In was terrible. You need code to get in room that I never received. Took 30 minutes before owner with code finally appeared. Whose fault it was I did not get code is unclear. TV did not work most of the time. Other wise room was clean and recently fixed up. Property outside needs paint job on porch and stairs. Owner says she is fixing things now.

Mancava il microonde nella camera che invece era previsto nella prenotazione . Il gestore non ha risposto alla mia richiesta e non ha risposto neanche a Expedia che ha provato a contattarlo . In pratica non esiste un referente a cui porre le domande , esiste solo un recapito per incassare il denaro . Le fotografie che appaiono sulla loro pagina non corrispondono alla realtà . La foto principale è di una cremeria che non ha niente a che fare con le camere, che invece sono posizionate nella parte retrostante della struttura

Very disappointed in this place it seemed like no one really care that you didn’t have a TV. How could you pay for a room and say that you have a TV but don’t have a TV. Also, how could you have a room that doesn’t have a single coffee maker in there to be able to make a cup of coffee in the morning. They say that you can go to the lobby when you go to the lobby they don’t even have The things to make a cup of coffee no creamer. No one around my room was by a dumpster loaded with flies and smell this stay ruined our whole trip to the finger lakes really and no one was around to help you. They left us two towels for all of the days that we were there a bunch of little ones, but only two big ones It really was not a good experience. Really rundown nothing available to you feel like I wasted my money.

Staff was friendly, WHEN THEY WERE THERE, not staffed 24/7. Television did NOT work. Ever. Room was not stocked, no clock, no kleenex, shower was awful, could not mainframe a temperature. My husband had a C-Pap machine and could not access a plug, the night stand on his side of the bed had a lamp, with NO bulb, and no plug available. No nightly/daily service to red up the room or refresh towels. Location was good with access to the town, lake and park. Would absolutely go back to Watking Glen, but NOT this hotel.

Property is in a very good location. Lots of shops and dining options available. Also right next to the state park which is a must see. Rooms decor is older but everything was comfortable and was exactly how is seen in pictures. Would stay again.
