The room (with seaview) was very nice indeed. Newly renovated. However - the devil is in the details. We did not realize that it was shared bathrooms. It took some time to even find that "detail" with hotels.com ... it could have been more visual. Great wagyu beef though.

Great location and friendly staff. Food was excellent, had oysters and they were the best I have eaten. Will return and stay overnight in Oceanview room again.

Nice room overlooking the sea. Shame about the live music which only began at 9.30 and went on til midnight both nights of our stay. No mention of this was made at booking or check-in. Room was noisy and smoke percolated up stairs. Bathroom was tired and the light timer was far too short for a shower.

Great views of the ocean but there was a lot of fencing/materials in full view in front of us from the building renovations. It would have been nice to know when booking. Also, the cabinetry and kettle showed quite a lot of wear and tear.

Grieving the loss of the community shared balcony lounge with wonderful sea views. The new private rooms feel isolating. Most people will like the privacy and clean modern lines, but the old balcony was a sacred place for us. We'll always treasure its memory.

Breathtaking ocean view hotel

The hotel was situated on top of the hill overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse. The views from the hotel were spectacular and amazing. Did I mention breathtaking the staff at the hotel, especially at the reception we’re very kind, helpful and considerate.

Amazing view but …

Stunning view! Hotel has poor access for those with limited mobility. All rooms on second floor with no lift only stairs. Bathroom was stated as shared but to be specific it is a communal bathroom for the whole floor. But the view was amazing and worth the inconvenience.
