Wonderful historic property

I have stayed here several times. It is one of my favorite hotels because of its character. It is an historic property located in Hot Springs Park and thus part of the park’s history. Nice rooms and good breakfast as well.

Historic building with its own hot-spring-fed outdoor hot tub with enough room for many -- and right near it, a normal outdoor pool for a cool plunge. The hotel is literally inside the Park. The breakfast bar is ample & fresh. The beds were clean & comfortable. The hotel is well maintained & the staff peasant & knowledgeable. Would definitely stay again!

Best Western is in above old building facing a park and steps away from the Hot Springs which most people come to Thermopolis to enjoy. Even better, it has a private spa with the volcanic water so if you don’t want to go to the public facilities you still can benefit from the healing waters.

Booked a room December 29-31 got a room with a pull out bed for our daughter, those rooms have a fireplace, fireplace didn’t work, thermostat didn’t work, room was 53°. Front desk couldn’t do anything, no offer of changing room, just told us to pull a space heater out of the closet to heat 2 rooms. Asked for extra blankets but they don’t have those! No pool towels for the hot tub so you have to use room towels, but don’t ask for more because the washer is down and they don’t have extra of those either! Shower was full of dog hair. We stayed here a year ago and had the exact same issues, we figured a year later they’d have the issues fixed but nope! It was actually kind of comical, we survived and one room eventually got up to 70° with the space heater, microwave mat or mat not work. Location to the hot spring pool was only good thing about this motel. Maybe make sure your room has heat before hand and bring your own towels and cleaning supplies ….

The location right alongside the Bighorn River was absolutely beautiful. However, the hotel is an historic update, and although my room was adequate, the lighting was not very good, the door was extremely squeaky, and the window curtain didn't work correctly. But, nevertheless, I recommend it.

Spa and relax

The hotel has hot spring water feeding the hot tub- fun! It’s an old original building, lots of character but also modern comforts. Friendly staff and a relaxing stay. It is right in the state park. Lots of trails in the park. Cute, quaint small town. Very friendly and relaxing!
