Perfect overnight

Nice overnight. Great hot springs & cafe.

Always a wait for meals Had to drive Fairbanks several times because 2 hr wait
Kathleen, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

The hot spring is the main highlight of the resort. We enjoyed the flower garden as well. The rooms were outdated without microwave. They are still using small containers for toiletries which are not eco friendly.

Very nice stay. Staff was friendly and aways accommodating.

Needs some work and attention to detail

Staff was excellent! Buildings are dated and the heat is almost agregious! The heat in building 102 was so high that even opening a window in 30° weather did little to temper it. The floor of our room was filthy. I understand it's "rustic" these days but the floor hadn't even been swept. There was dirt, leaves, rock and even pull from a previous tennent.

Wish we could have spent 5 nights ( 1 was not enough) Highly recommend each and every amenity Restaurant was fabulous too

Excellent resort, but it isn’t about an hour from Fairbanks. The Hot Springs are amazing!
Robyn, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Loved the hot spring --- accessible, quiet and just perfect. Property was a little challenging for accessibility, including the step up into the buildings. Had to request a change in room to accommodate mobility issues.
Mary, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

so much missed potential

I wanted to like this place more. the good was the hot springs, the pool/hot tubs, and the place on the hill to walk up to view the northern lights. every one on the pools was friendly and easy going. the bad, for the money spent to stay here, a place is only as good as it's clients and in 2 minutes of turning my back, a thief took my Fitbit from the changing room. I could ping it in the locker room, so I know it was taken deliberately. i hate thieves. the only things I'd change is putting some serious money into updating the rooms and facilities. also, be prepared as every thing outside of the hot springs is a la carte and not cheap..

Great property, great food..hot springs are amazing
Steve, 7-night trip

8/10 Very good

Was a good experience. Plenty of tourist activities and points of interest. Rooms a little outdated and tiny shower. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
Michael, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

I gave it 4’s because it’s a little rustic. A lot of cool things to do and see. Worthwhile to stop in for a couple of days if you are in the area.
Eric, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It's a very unique property. The building we slept in had a loose lock and needed updated, but the hot spring was fantastic. Not sure why my 15 1/2 year old daughter wasn't allowed in the hot springs with us though. Before we left we considered booking another night, but we had plans to meet-up with friends in Anchorage, so we didn't.

Great food and comfy rooms next to a Hot Springs with the ability to see the northern lights. What more could you want?
David, 4-night trip

We loved our week at Chena Hot Springs. The Northern lights put on a fabulous display. The hot springs and the pool were wonderful. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We were treated well by the staff. A quick dog sled ride was fun. Highly recommend this adventure in the remote resort.
Lori, 4-night trip

Room was okay. No elevator to 2nd floor. Service at restaurant slow.

Toni, 2-night trip

The only restaurant is at the resort. If you don't get seating early for dinner you will have to wait for a while. The host was not very freindly.
Ken, 4-night trip

The Hot Springs was wonderful!
Kimberly, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was a great escape with loads of outdoor activities. However, there weren't enough food/dining options to keep up with demand. Best to dine at nonpeak hours if you want to eat in the restaurant. The staff really work hard so kudos to them.
