Versailles overnight stay

The room was clean but too small for 3 adults - staying only one night was okay…hard to manoeuvre with the luggage and 3 adults. The pillows were square and too soft to sleep with. The concierge was helpful and attentive to our request. It rained while we were there and there was no umbrella access.

Wonderful place to stay for Versailles Palace- so close! Extremely clean - could not fault - only thing I would say is you have to hand in keys when going out which then you have wait for when returning if reception is not available.

We enjoyed staying in the Hotel d'Angleterre. Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect for a visit to Chateau Versailles, or for catching the RER to Paris - both Chateau and station an easy walk. Restaurants and bars are also nearby. The hotel is under renovation but the rooms and breakfast area are completed to a very good standard. Parking can be had nearby in the Cathedral carpark. Recommend this hotel.

Budget hotel close to Versailles Palace

I stayed here partly for price and partly for the location as it's close to the Versailles Palace, but I won't be staying here again and I would recommend a slightly farther location for better rooms. Facility: It's an older hotel and is showing it's age. They were in the middle of remodeling some rooms, so maybe these will be better in the future. My room was very small and the worst part is that it didn't have AC because I visited during a heat wave. They did offer breakfast, but I didn't not purchase this option so I can't speak to what it provides. Location: It's very convenient to the Palace of Versailles and restaurants. Everything is walking distance and was one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

A frugal place new the Palace of Versailles! Clean rooms and attentive staff. The rooms were okay in size but the bathrooms were small, they worked well and were clean, just small.

Location, location, location

Location! Location for the palace, for the train, for the parking (which you can pre book for a better rate), for the grocery… and for an affordable price. Can’t beat all the positives.

If you are planning to visit the Palace of Versailles, this location (and price) cannot be beat. It is walking distance to the palace and to a charming walking street with lots of great restaurants and cafes. This is a no frills hotel that could use updating, but it was clean and the staff was very kind, friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

Nice, small, quiet hotel with nice staff.

No parking available. Have to rely on a resident on the street leaving. Good luck. If you have a car, you will not find it easy to park within 200 meters. But you might get lucky. We stayed in a very small double room. You need to be skinny to get to the toilet. No room to set your luggage down. Needs to stand up and out of the way. Breakfast was traditional cold foods only and they will make you a fresh espresso if you ask. Staff was very friendly. Construction happening so lots of trash just outside of the dining area, but it doesnt take away from the looks of the building.

A charming find

Big comfy beds, gorgeous bathroom, all lin was fresh and clean, plenty of storage space. Perect for a shortbreak. Traditional style hotel,so old but well kept, no lift but we only had overnight bags to carry ip the stairs. Cute little outside garden space for general use. We parked on street right outside the hotel. As it is free overnight it didnt seem too expensive. Versailles Palace literally few minutes walk away and also very close to main street with lots of restaurants. This was an overnight stop for us, which actually turned into a charming visit. Great breakfast and friendpy staff

First of all the property doesn’t have parking, you can park your car in the garage at the Cathedral , but it’s not cheap. The hotel is clean, great location.The man at the Reception doesn’t speak English, not too friendly.

I highly recommend this place. I only stayed for 3 nights.... But I hope I could have stayed longer. Ideal location (probably the closest hotel to Versailles Castle) in a very central but quiet street. The room was ""modest"" but perfect, super clean, with the window on an indoor courtyard. Very friendly staff. Best price (2 stars) but if charm can be counted, it should be - at least - a 3 star hotel. I am normally picky.... But I cant find one negative side to this little hotel. If you want a charming hotel (just at the corner historical Jeu de Paume where the French Revolution started), this is the place to go
