Overall a Good Experience

We had a great time staying at the hotel. We used the Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna, and enjoyed the Breakfast. We had a great view, besides the telephone wires in front of the window, and the room was comfortable. The pool building could use some updating as the ceiling is peeling a bit and the jets in the hot tub were inoperable. Overall it was a good experience and the employees were extremely attentive, informative, and helpful.

To start there is only an elevator on 1 part of the hotel, the first night of our stay we were on the second floor and above us was a child who kept running around and bouncing a ball until late at night. In the morning i asked the front office to remind to the patrons that there was people below them, the employee told us they would be checking out that day. Fast forward to end of the day ot turns out the upstairs people did check out BUT checked back in and they put thrm in the same room above us. They told me to call front desk (no one there after 10pm) and they would move the family. We did not call. Child was actvie and running around till after midnight. We checked out the next day a day earlier and was not refunded anything.

Great place for a family vacation in Newport. :D

The staff was friendly and very accommodating. :) The toilet could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly, but the rest of the things were great. I would definitely stay at OYO Waves again. :D Oh, the pictures look like you can walk out onto the beach, but you have to walk a couple blocks down the road for beach access.

Near the ocean

The beds were good, the room was spacious. We could see ocean from our window & sleep with open one. The refrigerator didn't work well. The breakfast was pretty simple, no meat included. Swimming pool is wery small. Emily at the front desk was extremely friendly & helpful.

Avoid at all cost

I reserved a room with two queen beds because I had two adults and my niece and nephew, 15 and 16 years old, I needed an elevator because I’m handicapped and they knew that. They oversold the room so when I got there, they did not have one for me and told me that they would give me a room with a king bed. I said I don’t think all four of us can sleep on a king bed. So 45 minutes later, they finally switched the room with somebody on the bottom floor. There was no wheelchair ramps and no way to get in the room with my scooter. There was nothing I can do but have the kids carry my scooter in because it was 7 o’clock at night on a Saturday and there were no rooms anywhere available. The hot tub was hot however there were no jets and no bubbles. The sauna did not work. The bathroom was filthy and had rest all over the floor and was just overall dirty. There were stains on one of the sheets along with hair. The breakfast consisted of Waffles, bagels and cereal. This place is completely rundown and I would avoid it. They charged me $377 for this trash bag.

Uncomfortable and not what us expected online

We book and went to the location. It was late in the afternoon and got a room but they were still cleaning it. No uniform for the staff, appeared run down. I went with my family and the other guest appeared to be under the influence. Sketchy looking place and we didn't feel comfortable or safe there. Definitely not how online view appears. So we left the hotel and got a different one.

Gaga and grandson's vacation in Newport, OR

When my grandson and I walked into our room, we were so thrilled that is was bright, colorful and so clean! We had a partial ocean view that added to our wonderful experience at OYO Waves! The managers and workers were so cheerful and welcoming. The pool and the area were well maintained. I would encourage anyone to stay here! We stayed 4 nights and just loved it!
