Quite a remote location but if you have a car you’ll be fine. Lovely villas, and the one we had was wonderful as it had the added bonus of a back garden (only 4 villas on the entire complex had this). Bit of an issue with bird poo in the outside patio areas so could do with the occasional mop out there but other that that the villa was spotless.

Our stay at Castro Marim was a last minute decision. A one night stop in our itinerary on the Algarve coast. We did regret we could not stay any longer our villa was exceptional. 2 BR, 3 BA. The staff directed us to a very nice restaurant although the clubhouse had its own. This would also be a golfer paradise. It is 2 kms from the Spanish border and it. Could be a great extention to an Andulasian trip.

Really good break and location as close to beaches and Spanish border. Only complaint was the pool was cold and not heated which resulted in our 18 month old getting cold quickly. If this was heated it would have been perfect.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön mit interessanten Golfplätzen. In der1. Woche waren die Plätze noch nicht so gut, aber ab der 2. Woche wurden sie richtig bearbeitet und es hat Spaß gemacht darauf zu spielen. Manches Loch hat so seine Tücken😉 Unsere Villa war sehr gut ausgestattet, nur die Polster könnten erneuert werden. Die Ausstattung entsprach genau dem Angebot. Das Personal ist rundherum sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zum Strand und zum einkaufen sind es ca 7 km.

Ideal für uns

Die Häuser sind phantastisch. Unseres hatte zwei Schlafzimmer jeweils mit eigenem Bad. Dazu Küche mit Geschirrspüler, Wasch-Trockner, Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Wasserkocher. Die Kapselkaffeemaschine benutzen wir nicht, da wir lieber Filterkaffee trinken. Da wir bereits zum 2.Mal dort waren, haben wir uns einen Filter mitgebracht. Man kann auch ins Clubhaus frühstücken fahren, aber da wir einen Hund haben und es in den Supermärkten der Umgebung alles wunderbar frisch gibt, haben wir im Haus gefrühstückt und dann lieber die anderen Mahlzeiten in den landestypischen Lokalen der Umgebung eingenommen. Man muss ein Auto haben für diese Unterkunft, aber das sollte man sowieso, damit man in die entlegenen Ecken dieses wunderschönen Landesteils fahren kann. Alle drei Tage ist im übrigen Wäschewechsel und Reinigung und genug saubere Handtücher plus Badetücher finden sich in den Schränken. Wifi funktioniert wunderbar-und war auch ausreichend für die Familienmitglieder, die im Urlaub noch Konferenzen abhalten mussten. Wir hoffen, bald wieder dort zu sein.
