Unfortunately for everyone in the area, flooding was severe this fall. The hotel has a strong odor of mold, to which I am allergic. The manager only refunded half our reservation even though we only stayed long enough for them to try to “clean” the room by spraying glade air freshener. In the wake of such a terrible tragedy, I have empathy with how everyone must be affected. However, we missed getting to explore Bangkok, spent money to get there and away, and still had to find other accommodations. Overall, it cost us a couple hundred dollars and half a day of our trip. If you have asthma, or mold sensitivity, pick another place. We had luck by the airport.
