Good stay/elevator iffy

Definitely a cute hotel located on the 6th floor of an apartment building. The hotel itself was clean, except there was definitely a little dusting that still needed attending to. We had some things on the floor that got covered in dust so someone could have done a better sweep. Overall, the amenities were nice and the mini fridge prices were pretty reasonable for a hotel. Service was great and could provide a taxi within just a few minutes. The only big issue I had with this hotel was that if someone didn’t shut the elevator door all the way, it didn’t work. So being on the sixth floor, we sometimes had to walk up or down six flights of stairs, which isn’t terrible, but not exactly great when you’re hot and sweaty from exploring Rome in the summertime. Luckily it worked for bringing up and down our luggage or I would have been more upset. Overall a great stay, but I would definitely make sure that you’re in great shape before staying here, in case of the elevator being out of commission.

En dejlig central placering. Vi gik herfra til alt: Colosseum, Cirkus Maximus, San Clemente Basilica, Fontana di Trevi, Den spanske trappe og Vatikanstaten plus meget mere. I gå-afstand. We stayed at Joli Boutique Hotel during our recent visit to Rome, and while the location is excellent,just a short walk to the Vatican and surrounded by several great dining options—there are a few things travelers should be aware of. The building is quite old, which gives it some charm, but also presents practical challenges. The elevator is very small and outdated, fitting only 2–3 people at a time. It requires navigating two different manual doors, which is especially difficult when carrying luggage, or if you’re traveling with kids or a stroller. The wait for the elevator can often exceed 5 minutes, and there are a few stairs to climb before even reaching it, making accessibility a concern. That said, the rooms are nicely done, the staff is friendly, and the surrounding area is lively and walkable. If you're traveling light and don’t mind some old-world quirks, it could be a cozy and convenient choice. But for families or anyone with mobility issues, this might not be the most practical option.

To stay in Rome - this hotel will not disappoint

Hotel staff extremely helpful and informative. Helped daily with trips and transfers. Very close to St. Peter's Square and all transport available to get around Rome. We will book this hotel again when we go to Rome. Would definitely recommend this hotel and the staff.

The room had a bad smell that I cannot describe and I didn’t know where it was coming from. There is no AC (maybe not activated) so it got a little warm in the room at night. That was in April 2025 when we visited Rome. I decided to open the window to allow some fresh air in but the bugs were also getting in. Other than those two things, it is in a great location, the staff were awesome, and the room is big enough for 4 adults and had everything that we needed for our stay.
