Had issues with the room key on day 1, and after reporting the issues I had continuous issues for the remainder of the holiday. We had a wonderful stay at the City Center hotel. We were given 3 rooms on the 5th floor; the rooms were very clean and comfortable with great views. Mel at the front desk was extremely kind, accommodating and welcoming. He took wonderful care of us and provided many helpful tips. The location of this hotel is so convenient. We were able to walk to shops, museums and restaurants. Parking is a little tricky, but overall our family had a great time. Bonus we got to meet the famous Baktus:) Thank you Mel for going above and beyond. We will definitely be back.

I was traveling with my sister and we really enjoyed our stay at City Center. Google Maps had a hard time finding the hotel because it’s closed to cars but we were able to find street parking around the corner. The hotel staff helped us download the parking app AND upgraded our room. The room was big and the bathroom very fancy. The location was perfect - easy walking distance to Hallgrimakirkja church, the settlement exhibition, and city hall with all the swans and ducks, shopping, and great places to eat. We went to the food hall for dinner and Icelandic beer; the Laundromat Cafe for breakfast. The hotel has a unique boutique vibe. Plus the friendly staff and very nice cat will greet you as soon as you walk in the lobby
