I had a pleasant stay at The Scholar. The staff were all very welcome, especially the gentleman at the bar. The room was great for what I needed. The only comment I have is that the pillows were quite thick - I usually only sleep with one but even that one was too thick for me and I woke up with neck and shoulder pain. It's a small detail as I know everyone will have their preferences but I felt that if the pillows were thinner, those who prefer more cushioning could have just used more pillows. Other than that, my stay was lovely.

From the moment we arrived the stay at the Scholar was fabulous. Staff really looked after us, room was clean and spacious as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast buffet style with pleny to choose from.

Lovely place to stay, very comfortable and quiet. Handy to all the central offerings of Edinburgh - walkable and plenty of public transport nearby. We had a car and could park for free within the scholar grounds. Park like surroundings, good dining and drinks options (breakfast was so yummy) and the service from the staff was immaculate and so warm and friendly. Would stay again if in Edinburgh!
