Why bury the lead? Currently the best hotel in Rapid City. We’ve stayed in all of the contenders in the last 14 months so I feel qualified to reach that conclusion. This hotel is still very new and is in excellent condition, as expected. Our room was spacious, the bed comfy, the climate control excellent, the TV large. The staff was cordial and attentive. Parking in the attached ramp costs extra, to be expected in a downtown location, and is convenient and feels safe. The complementary breakfast offered a decent variety and is comparable to the average Hampton or Holiday Inn Express. We loved the location in downtown Rapid City, which features an impressive array of restaurants and shops, and is very walkable. It feels like a fairly hip place.
