Extremely Disappointing Stay – Serious Safety and Management Issues
I stay in hotels frequently, especially the ones that have that "home away from away from home" vibe and have never had a negative experience until I encountered Staybridge Suites Syracuse/ Liverpool.
The most alarming incident occurred when another guest scanned their key and walked directly into my hotel room. The woman was just as shocked to see me as I was to see her. Shortly after, the front desk called to explain that when I checked in, they failed to officially assign me to the room I was given, resulting in two guests being checked into the same room. Instead of relocating me or properly resolving the situation, they simply added my name to the room and reissued keys, after the safety breach had already occurred. This was completely unacceptable.
The issues didn’t stop there.
Wi-Fi Problems:
The Wi-Fi barely worked during my stay. Initially, I couldn’t even log in because the system required a last name and room number, which makes sense, considering I was never properly added to the room in the first place. 🙄 After going to the front desk, I was informed there was also an access code required, which I was never provided at check-in. Once added, the Wi-Fi worked sporadically at best.
Checkout & Billing Issues:
Given the experience, I made sure to check out at the front desk personally. I was told my receipt would be emailed to me, it never arrived. I
