I had a great experience staying here. It was easy to find, the folks at check-in were super nice. Everything was totally great. It’s a short walk from Murrayfield Stadium and the tram (about 15 minutes)

A fantastic find , right on top of murrayfield and a 10min cab ride into Edinburgh , I recommend The Mill House for a short stay close to all amenities.

Power to the people

The stay was generally good. However, the ppwer sockets didnt work. Had to find the fusebox in the kitchen/ communal room to reset the circuit breaker. Coincidentally, this reset the hallway lights and the kitchen lights. Contradictory to electrical and building regulations. Good job i got to the kitchen because the next day it was deemed out of bounds.

Avoid staying here.

Don't stay here. False advertisment. It says there is a shared kitchen but reality guests are not given access to the kitchen. I talked to the managers and they refused to rectify the situation. The hallways have trash and dirt. The mattress as horrible. The drains need to be snaked. The good things inckude solid internet and access to buses. The park nearby is lovely. If you are looking for something similar, Edinburgh College Residence is much better.

Dirty - Over Priced - Not Worth the Money

Bed was super uncomfortable; felt like I was sleeping downhill. Had to attach the blind to the frame as it was lying on the window sill. Property advertises WiFi but don't tell you what the WiFi network or password is and they don't answer messages to provide it. Not worth the money and almost criminal they raise the prices the way they do simply because there was a concert in town.

Satisfying but

I ended up being satisfied with my stay - the facilities are perfect for one person. I tried to get check-in information by the e-mail provided the week before arrival, as I would be arriving late from the airport and wanted to know what to do; after providing my booking number I ended up being asked if I knew where I was staying…? I replied but never got an answer. Only the evening before arrival did I get all the information I was looking for via message on hotels.com - very detailed, but late when you just want to have an abstract before departure. The room is dusty on all surfaces and the bed is very hard.

. . , clean, comfortable room with your own bathroom. was in Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival so this was in the perfect location for transport links and amenities. it's basic but I just needed a bed and bathroom. Very happy and would recommend

Ok room, broken ventilation,very bad communication

The experience was good. I was a little concerned when I read some of the reviews, but I found experience good enough. If you are experiencing an hotel, then you will be disappointed. It is a student flat, but it is good for a student flat. The bed was nice, the shower worked etc. For the price, I think it is good. Also close to food shops, close to buses and the area felt safe, although a little bit outside the city, but only like 25 min with bus. Things that should be fixed: The ventilation at the bathroom was damaged. It was hanging from the roof, it was full of dust, and did not work properly. The room was still damp, almost 24 hours after using the shower, and the towel didn’t dry because of that. Biggest minus, is I struggled alot getting in touch with Mill House. They don’t respond in the hotels.com chat. I tried to call the number hotels.com provided. When I called it, I got the message that this number did not exist. I got the real contact information after contacting hotels.coms customer. After getting the contact information, I sendt an email to Mill house. I got then quite fast an email saying «last reminder or your room get cancelled». And got then 24 hour to send a copy of my passport. I find that strange, because this was the first email I had gotten from Mill House, and seem like room would have been cancelled, if I did not put alot of effort in trying to find the contact information of Mill House myself

I accept that it was student accommodation during The Edinburgh Fringe and that you get what you pay for but the shower tray in one room did not drain and all the mattresses were atrocious. In general the property was clean. My main disappointment was the communication with the property, before and during my stay. 4 messages and 0 replies. I received comflicting emails with regards booking in and booking out. As I said, disappointing.

langt fra centrum, men med gode forbindelser.

The Mill house ligger et stykke væk fra centrum, men meget tæt på busholdeplads (ca 100 m) med mange busser der holder ved Waverly station centralt i Edinburgh. Desværre ligger en del af værelserne ud mod Georgie Road der er meget trafikeret hele døgnet og med vinduer der ikke kan lukke tæt og uden aircondition kan der blive meget varmt, hvis vinduet er lukket. ikke en lampe over sengen, kun 2 meget skarpe i loftet.

Well it is student accom so I didn’t expect much but it was actually much better than the reviews. Clean, comfortable, lots of storage, and check in was easy. Bus ride from the city and useful. Only negatives were 1. No bin and you are supposed to take your rubbish outside 2. No kettle and no way of obtaining a hot drink 3. The shower, tho fine, didn’t drain properly. But all in all was a useful place to stay and a better price than most during the Fringe

Gostei bastante do hotel. A localização é muito boa. Tem onibus 5 minutos andando, que te deixa no centro de Edimburgo em menos de 20 minutos. O quarto estava limpo. O check in foi tranquilo e o funcionario que me atendeu foi super simpatico. Mesmo eu nao falando inglês. Unica coisa que senti falta, foi de poder usar a cozinha. Tinha entendido no anuncio que era acessível aos hospedes, mas estava fechada.
