There was plenty of parking; the service was excellent; the room was beautifully decorated and clean with a very comfortable bed; the bar area had a good atmosphere with an open log fireplace; and there was a good range of options for breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and recommend it.

This is the first place we stayed when we first arrived in England, and what a wonderful way to kick off our trip. The room was beautiful, the staff was warm and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We plan on coming back again.
This bed is gorgeous and the room had a lovely sitting area directly over the entrance of the inn.
Fish & chips with mushy peas. Yummy!
The oldest part of the inn goes back to the time of the Domesday Book (1080’s)
