The property itself looks nice and well maintained, and the staff were polite and cooperative. However, I strongly advise anyone booking through Hotels.com to be very cautious.
Upon arrival, the property required us to pay the full stay again in cash, explaining that they sometimes receive payment from Hotels.com months or even up to a year later, particularly with lower rates. This resulted in us being charged twice for the same reservation.
After the first night, due to the issues described below, we decided not to continue our stay. To be fair, the staff were kind and collaborative and agreed to refund the cash payment, keeping only one night, which we appreciated. The platform is also issuing the refund related to the duplicate charge.
Regarding the stay itself, there were several comfort issues:
• No running hot water
• No blackout/dark shades, making it difficult to sleep comfortably
• No extra blankets available when requested
Overall, while the property has potential and the staff handled the situation politely, the double-payment requirement and basic comfort problems made the experience stressful. I strongly recommend confirming payment arrangements in advance when booking through third-party platforms.
