Blvd. Sunset Hotel has a lot of potential: the ocean views are stunning, the outdoor leisure spaces are great, and the location is very convenient with many restaurants nearby. It also offers private parking. However, the property is unfortunately very dated and lacks maintenance. It looks quite different from the photos online. The cleaning was disappointing—the floors, towels, bathroom, and kitchenware were not clean, and basics like toilet paper, coffee, and tea were insufficient. Additionally, the soundproofing is poor, so you can easily hear other guests. While it is pet-friendly, this also meant we were kept awake by other guests' dogs barking throughout the night. On a positive note, the staff is very easy to reach. They listened to our complaints, offered extra assistance, and were kind enough to let us check out early. We are very grateful for their professional handling of the situation.

Amazing

upon arrival to our destination, we were very impressed on the layout of the home, the views, the beach access, and the comfort of the beds Easy walking to coffee, shops, and food as well as you can walk 4 miles down the beach. This is definitely a place I plan on staying at again however I will be staying longer than just one night. It is so homey and welcoming.

We definitely had a relaxing time in this well kept beach facing apartment with excellent view of Ensenada Bay in a nice neighborhood. The owner/operator had excellent communication with us and made sure everything was good. I was grateful for the good treatment.

Not Great! Not terrible!

Location was good. Overall space was great for my family size. Only complaint is that as far as linens and couches and chair cushions, everything was very worn and didn’t look clean. Also no AC which I don’t think they advertise but it would’ve been great as it gets a lil humid. Great views tho.

No Air Conditioning!

The only good thing about this spot is the location. There is no air conditioning at all so do NOT go when it's hot. They provide two regular fans and one was broken. Blew air but the head was broken so it was tilted. The walls have marks and paint is coming off. Most likely due to all the moisture from the beach but it looks really bad. The stove is disgusting. The fridge didn't even keep our food cold. The freezer was fine. It was so hot during the day we couldn't even be inside the house. Paid a lot per night to not even want to be inside. There are two gates to get onto the property and they are both broken so anyone can just walk in. There's a door to get onto the beach and it has no lock so anyone can come in from the beach. The area was safe, I had no issues but there was a lot of police activity since it's a busy street. I honestly feel like I got scammed. There is no TVs. I would not recommend.

The property overall is in good condition and looks nice. There’s beach access and the little area is almost a semi-private beach area, which is great. However, nobody cleans your room during the days of your stay and I stay there for five days. The building is in a residential area and the neighboring homes have many dogs. The dogs bark at all hours of the night and it is extremely noisy, the hot water heater is also very inefficient, had to turn the water to cold and then too hot to get it to reactivate so hot water was delivered approximately one minute at a time and then would get cold.
