Stayed here twice. Room 110 (balcony, new bathroom) is better than room 103 (broken shower, no balcony, but fewer stairs). The service was excellent, we had to store some luggage for a few days due to an unexpected travel issue and they were very helpful with that and arranging airport transportation. The neighborhood is chock full of restaurants and shops and is close to the acropolis. Definitely recommend but be ready to climb some stairs, there's no elevator.

Staff were so helpful and had my room ready before check in due to my early arrival, even made me a delicious coffee and breakfast while I waited. Room was cozy and the bottle of wine was a great touch. Fantastic location with eateries and shops all around and so close to the attractions. Only disappointment was that I only stayed for 2 nights, wish I had stayed longer as was the highlight of my trip!

We only stopped here for a few days but the room was lovely with a large balcony which we made full use of and a complimentary bottle of wine when we arrived. The breakfasts which were included with our room were good and you had a choice from the entire menu.

This was everything i was looking for in a hotel room... the room was large the balcony was wonderful. It is above a restaurant in a very walkable area... the staff was extremely helpful and so friendly! The area is full of restaurants and pedestrian traffic only... except a few motor bikes in the early morning and bicycle tours pass through sometimes.

Even though the building doesn’t have a lobby staff, the hotel/restaurant staff across from the hotel were there to help and give entry instructions. Our stay here couldn’t have been more perfect! The room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The check in process was easy and quick and it was so nice that our room was only on the second floor. Other reviews have mentioned some noise at night and there was some, but with the AC on we didn’t have any issues sleeping. I’ve stayed at a more expensive hotel nearby and this one was so much better. The location can’t be beat either.

We were a bit worried after reading some of the negative reviews, but the hotel was actually nice. It did not feel unsafe at all. It is in an alley, but the alley felt pretty normal for someone growing up in Europe and in no way unsafe. It is only a few meters away from a very busy square with a lot of restaurants. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. You can just check in with the staff from the restaurant, which is the same property .

Check-In confusing

I was never sent instructions on how to check in so it was very confusing. There was no check in desk, only a locked door. I texted and someone finally came to let me in. My biggest complaint was there was no way to lock the door from inside so I didn’t feel totally safe.

A nice little hotel located in the middle of Plaka with restaurants right outside the door. Very nice breakfast. Clean and tidy rooms. However, if you value the opportunity to sleep well, choose another hotel, at least until you really verify that the problems with the digital door locks are sorted out. As it was now and apparently has been for a while, the locks beep quite frequently throughout the nights and it doesn't sound a bit... I pointed out the rust with the locks but nothing was solved when we were there. It is of course sensitive in such an old house but I can buy that.

I have mixed feelings about this accommodation. Overall, I don’t think kits worth the price you pay. Check-in and unlocking the doors was easy using the app. The room was clean and it was nice that they included bottles of water and wine. However, the TV remote and one of the lights didn’t work and there was no answer from reception using the number they provided. Is also right above a restaurant so you’ll need ear plugs for at night. That does mean that ours very close to things though. Didn’t hate it but probably wouldn’t start there again.

Plaka hotel that is below expectations

Awesome location. The hotel was next to the restaurant, which is where the check in was located. No hotel lobby. The room was okay but the bed was not comfortable. The shower does not work. We stayed in 2 rooms and both rooms had the same shower problem. I reported it but it was never fixed. The included breakfast was not good. I had the Mediterranean Omelette and it was not good. You want to stay in plaxa but this place is not good.
