I requested a handicap room because I have recently had 2 surgeries. When we opened the door to the room, the smell of mold/mildew hit us. As we entered the room, the odor became stronger and stronger. After a few minutes, we knew we could not stay in the room. We went to the front desk to report the odor and request another room. They acted as if they had no idea of the smell. They did put us in the room next door, but something needs to be done. That will make a guest ill!

Great Stay with a Maintenance Issue

We were given an upgraded suite, we stayed for a week. The only issue was a plugged condensate line in the air conditioner. The air conditioner leaked on the carpet. Their answer was a small fan to dry the carpet as it leaked. To my knowledge, they never fixed the issue. We did not consider the maintence issue a show stopper, since the motel was full and we enjoyed the suite.

Stayed at the Fairfield Marriott San Antonio Boerne with my mom and brothers after traveling for two weeks up north. The clerk who checked me into our room upon arrival on September 25 after 9pm wasn’t very pleasant however, all other staff members were very friendly and greeted us each time we came and left, they went above and beyond. We saw the same clerk who previously checked us in (I did not her her name) on the second night of our stay at the front desk and she didn’t seem very happy to be there but the young man who was behind the desk with her was great! Our stay was comfortable and the parking lot felt safe as it was very well lit up.

I was not impressed with the quality of this hotel. The first room we were given had mildew spots on the wall and across the ceiling, and the bathroom floor was sticky. It was also a handicap room so it didn’t have a bathtub/shower combo but rather a roll-in shower. They tried to tell us the room Would be bigger, but it just looked gross and I couldn’t see how it was any bigger. The second room was cleaner but it all seems old and like it needs to be dehumidified and updated. The bedding was clean, but the bed was not Comfortable. I chose a Marriott brand thinking it would ensure a level of quality that didn’t bear out. The staff was really nice. The breakfast hostess was especially delightful—she was a shining light in the place.
