The hotel has a lot of potential but is in desperate need of refurbishment. Unfortunately, the curtains and carpets in the room were stained, and there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. The balcony was also littered with cigarette butts left behind by previous guests, which gave the impression that it hadn’t been properly cleaned.
On the positive side, the room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location is ideal — everything we needed was within a 10-minute walk, which was perfect for us as we don’t drive. I would also like to mention the receptionist, who was absolutely lovely, always pleasant, and happy to greet us throughout our stay.
To be completely honest, if I had been staying in Bruges for longer than a couple of days, I would have looked for another hotel, as the smell in the bathroom was quite off-putting. However, considering the reasonable price and overall comfort of the room, it was manageable for a short stay.
Bruges is a beautiful city, and the people were hospitable - I would definitely recommend everyone should come at least once in a lifetime!
