Fully equipped kitchen but very dark at night since no lighting in kitchen itself. Comfy bed and nice bathroom with walk-in shower. Close to everything.

Great location,close to stores,attractions,boardwalk and public transport. Well furbished , the staff is very professionnel. Free access to washer and dryer greatly appeciated. Nice city view and the water view will probably disappear with the construction is finish. At this time of the year a carpet in the entrance of the apparement would be very usefull for wet boots. Also a wardrobe rail and hangers should be added in the entrance closet.

A terrible hotel stay. The worst customer service. Actually no customer service since no one works there and if you are lucky to reach someone after 4 pm by text message since they have no phone or person the answer was always not their problem and blamed others. Never solved the problem or even tried. The prime issue is the terrible check in process. You must have a special code to even check in and hotel.Com did not provide it. Without it you cannot check in and the hotel sms person refuses to help. Finally after 90 minutes of reaching out to hotel Com I finally got it and then have to go through hotel's extensive portal by giving personal info credit card and even a photo. Finally they email you a code to get into the front door and your room. I travel extensively and globally and this was the worst check in process I ever experienced. So DON'T stay here!! If you must make sure to have all the confirmation info in hand before leaving home so does not take hours to get in. BTW I helped two other stranded parties who could not get in figure how to navigate this terrible process. Buyer beware!

It took over an hour to make the reservation and to do online checkin because had to get hotel reservation number from hotels.com live person. Stayed two nights. Toilet backed up first night & no one there to fix it. No onsite parking. Had to pay for municipal parking. Could not figure out how to get live tv channels. Only streaming channels.

The property was in a good location, though noisy facing the street. We had difficulty with the sign-in process - both virtual and upon arrival, and we were not the only ones. This led to a frustrating arrival experience. The room was showing some signs of wear and lack of maintenance, but overall was fine for our purposes.

Bei Cameo Hotel and Suties handelt es sich um eine self-service und automatisierte Unterkunft ohne Personal vor Ort. Das check-in kann vorab online gemacht werden. Bereits dieser Prozess ist reichlich umständlich. Stellen Sie sicher, dass sie die Reservationsnummer haben, die die Unterkunft an hotels.com gesendet hat. Ich habe diese Nr nach langem suchen nur bei "Buchung ändern/stornieren" gefunden. Nach Angabe der Kreditkarte für das Sicherheitsdepot und Passfoto folgen dann zwei Codes, einmal für die Haupttüre und Gepäckraum und einmal für das Zimmer. Der Zugang zum Gepäckraum hat geklappt, der gleiche Code für die Haupttüre nicht! Einzige Hilfeleistung durch das Hotel ist ein SMS-Chat. Hier verweist der Besitzer nur auf die check-in Automaten vor Ort. Als Erstes benötigen Sie wieder die Reservationsnummer der Unterkunft. Problem dabei: Bei hotels.com kann nicht mehr auf "Buchung ändern/stornieren" , wo die Nummer stehen würde, zugegriffen werden, da der Aufenthalt bereits begonnen hat. Wir haben diese Nummer aufgeschrieben, leider mit einem Zahlendreher am Schluss. Ich habe diese Nummer im SMS-Chat angegeben, aber der Besitzer hat geschrieben, dass die Nummer aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht bekannt gegeben wird (kleiner Zahlendreher...). Spätestens ab hier war das Verhalten nur noch Nötigung und Schikane. Andere Gäste brauchten ebenfalls drei ! Stunden, um Zugang zu ihrer im voraus bezahlten Unterkunft zu erhalten. Schade, die Studios selber sind sehr gut ausgerüstet.

Cameo was perfect for us! Clean, modern, well-equipped - but most important was the location! Right in the heart of downtown Halifax, we had dozens of restaurants, museums, and shops to choose from, all within a short distance. Didn’t even use our car in town - there was so much to see and do in a short radius. We especially recommend the Citadel and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. The Immigration Museum at Pier 21 was also worth the small admission fee. We were warned that there could be noise due to the Cameo's location on a main thoroughfare, but we had no problem. I also want to mention the closet - ours had many shelves as well as hanging space, and made it easy to unpack and not live out of a suitcase the three days we were there. Highly recommend the Cameo. (If you haven’t stayed in a hotel without a front desk, all of the instructions for checking in and all the door codes can be a bit daunting. But we followed the instructions, and everything went smoothly.)

Location and property were convenient, clean and spacious. My only complaint was my door code on Main door didn’t work multiple times . Minor in the big picture. Everything else was excellent

Lovely space. Clean. Adequate towels and face cloths. We didn’t want for anything really! Even tea and instant coffee if you want! Would highly recommend and maybe would stay there again with my family! Excellent experience!

The location is great and the suite generally okay (a little tired and signs of wear and tear). The air conditioning system is a gerrymandered affair which is very loud. Generally good value for money…but…the noise from adjoining rooms was unbearable our first night. We expected downtown noise but we could clearly hear a group of young men partying in the room beside us when in the hallway and in our room at 5pm when we checked in. We reported it to off site security who told us to report it again if it continued after 9pm. It did quiet down in the evening but the raucous behaviour woke us up out of a deep sleep at midnight. We again reported it to the off site security who threatened to evict us if we went to next door to ask them to quiet down! The security people were extremely rude. The noise finally stopped after about 30 minutes and luckily the partiers checked out the next day…but it left us with a bad impression.

If you want to be in the heart of everything that is happening in downtown Halifax, this is the place to stay. But beware - it's noisy because of its location. The property does provide fans which do help to drown out the noise and that was enough to do the trick.

We loved our stay at Cameo Hotel and Suites. The location was perfect, close to the waterfront, restaurants, and many sites. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We are looking forward to coming back to Halifax and staying here again.
