Beautiful modern cabins, bed was very comfy! The view from the lake view room was amazing. Being able to walk through the vineyards at sunset was also lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here

Great place to reset

We had an amazing stay at The Lane Retreat! Large room, quiet, perfectly located. The breakfast amenities in the room were healthy and adequate. The Pantry store on site was great for morning coffee. We stayed 2 nights and booked a room each. Great place to reset and relax after a day of wine tasting. The room just needed a vacuum, but otherwise the facilities were delightful.

Comfy room, breakfast is a let down

The room was nice, comfortable and relaxing. However, when you book with breakfast you expect a breakfast. You only get some bread, a few tiny spreads, yoghurt and muesli/granola. Not to mention the coffee pods are crap with no flavour. The area is boring and not much to do. NOT MY CUP OF TEA.

The Lane Retreat is an incredible experience, and has become our go-to stay in the Hunter Valley. It's incredibly peaceful, with gorgeous views over the vineyard. Easy to find, and well located within a short drive of many restaurants and wineries. Thoroughly recommend!

The perfect getaway when you need so peace and quiet or some quality time with family and friends. Perfect for sunrise and sunset watching alongside a picnic! Easy check in and check out. Ample parking available. My husband and I went for a stroll around the area and it was pure bliss! I would 100% recommend.

Extremely quiet, easy to find with parking, very clean, exactly as the photos. Comfy beds, large, spacious bathroom. Breakfast was ok too. Definitely would recommend to family or friend. Thank you for making us welcome.

The hotel is clean and has nice amenities, which I appreciate. However, I’d like to share some feedback for improvement. The Wi-Fi signal was extremely weak—I kept losing connection every few seconds, which made it frustrating to get online. In addition, I really didn’t like the shampoo and body wash gel setup. Since the dispensers were locked to the wall, it was difficult to pump out more than a very small amount at a time. Overall, a decent stay, but these details made the experience less comfortable than expected.

Value for money compared to most other places I've stayed in the Hunter. The Lane Retreat is at the upper end, however the provided breakfasts, the view overlooking the ranges and vineyards, and the ease of a receptionless checkin, makes this the go-to for our future stays.
