The worst check inn experience

I have been to dozens of hotels and resorts while visiting the Dominican Republic. I have to say the Receptionist by the last name of Guerrero was rude and very unprofessional. Offered me an upgrade to which i declined. To begin with his attitude was terrible, and from that moment it became worse. The FIRST time at an all inclusive in which NOTHING is explained. Did not even mention restaurants or thier locations, hours for dinner, pool, etc... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I have been to Breathless, Excellence, Secrets, Royalton, Dreams, Ocean Blue, Riu Palace, Iberostar Bavaro, Melia, Barcelo, just to name a few. And this was the worst experience i have ever had with a receptionist.

Not bad

Overall nice resort. Had an issue with my room and it took 3 trips to the front desk before they came and fixed it. Def not a turn up resort more for relaxing. Most of the staff was cool however some days it took a long time to get someone to come over to get us drinks on multiple days.

Resort muuuito ruim!

Resort super sujo, os pés chegam a escorregar principalmente nos pisos dos restaurantes. O check in era a partir das 15:00 e nosso quarto só ficou pronto umas 16:00! Quarto cheios de cabelos no chão, problema de condensação, não podíamos deixar a varanda aberta e tínhamos que deixar o ar condicionado bem gelado se não o piso ficava molhado. Pedi pra trocar de quarto, o que melhorou um pouco porém eu mesma pedi uma vassoura e varri o quarto pois também haviam muito cabelos no chão e no box 😩. Alguns pontos do resort fedem muito devido a quantidade de sargarço na praia, o cheiro é realmente horrível. A academia também fede a mofo. Não gostamos da comida da maioria dos restaurantes e o atendimento é muito ruim, não voltaremos nunca mais!

Overall a really great experience. Would prefer the property to use key cards instead of extremely tight wristbands that have to stay on your wrist during your entire stay at the resort. Super inconvenient for obvious reasons.

We went for my wife's birthday celebration for 3 nights, from june 23rd - june 26th. We were received by bellman "santos" who was really nice and attentive, took our luggage and showed us where to check in and change to more comfortable clothes, he later took us to our room and recommended us some activities. Check in process was ok, not excellent, had to wait for room because it wasnt ready. When we got the room there were blood stains on the floor which i had to complain 3 times until they got cleaned the afternoon of our secind day in the resort. Pool service in general was not good, staff is rude and not inviting, 2 bartenders where incredible and thats francisco in the swim up bar and Omi in the beach bar, the rest will not care for you if they dont see a tip in your hands. The food is not good at all. First day in lapalapa restaurant by the pools i had a ceviche and a salmon tartar that were room temperature French couisine gourmet restaurant in family side of the hotel is horrible, slow attention, slow time for your food,rude servers. We ordered lamb chops medium and we got rare and cold lamb chops. The desserts where room temperature aswell. Sushi restaurant was really good but we where told that even if we got to the teppanyaki section we could get sushi, and after asking 4 times for it, it never happened. Breakfast was amazing. Nobody knows about activities. Felix reception was amazing. Abigail lobby bar the best! Wont recommend it wont come back.

Place is ok. Staff was nice, everywhere we went to was clean and organized. Only thing that’s we did not like was everything closed early while the family side had a better night life than the adult side, which I found strange.

I believe this was my 5th time to DR and I will say that out of all the resorts this is by far my favorite!!!! First off, the food is real authentic Dominican food. I felt like I was at my friends house where her Mom always made me sancocho, arroz con gandues, carne guisado.... and so on. I even complimented many times and asked them to neverchange there food. DO NOT try to americanise the food because this is what we want, real Dominican cuisine! The place is clean, well kept and everyone is sooo friendly! I LOVE DR ***We just went June 25, 2025
