Lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The pool and jacuzzi etc were fabulous and the receptionist on duty during my visit was super lovely. Amazing attention to detail in the room including a split bin to help recycle used packaging etc. Could perhaps have used and extra cover for the bed but otherwise a great room, great stay and great staff. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and great service. All in all a wonderful stay and I shall definitely be a returning guest.

My room was lovely, the event was very nice and the food was lovely. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. My only concern was that on arrival when I gave my name, the lady on reception read out my room number when there were other guests arriving and within earshot. This is a security issue so I would ask you to remind your staff not to do this, please! I am a friend of the team who organised the event and was disappointed to learn that they had to provide their own lighting as you do not set up the festoon lights until Christmas. They made the ambience of the room so I am astounded that you do not use them year round and think it was unfortunate that this could not be accommodated for a charity event.

Excellent value for money hotel. Clean, tidy. Needs a bit of decorating here and there. We had a great breakfast and the dinner was lovely but felt it was a bit much asking for payment up front for the meal! (Yet you could pay for your drinks afterwards in the restaurant....???) Sounds like they dont trust anyone! Other than that, it would be nice to offer different pillow options. One was insufficient, two was too much. I had a stiff neck the following morning..despite it being a very comfortable bed. All in all, I would use again...despite these small niggles!

Hotel description said there was a lift .But not in the part of the hotel we were in! We had a room on the second floor as far as possible away from the reception areas with several flights of stairs, Had we known this we would have asked for a lower floor or in the building with a lift. Or chosen an alternative hotel, They were fully booked so no chance of changing to an alternative room. After our evening out we arrived back just before 11 and were told the bar was closed. This seems very unusual for a Saturday night and a hotel that has so many customers. There were no biscuits or complimentary bottles of water in the room, something which you would expect for the amount charged for the one night. The shower could certainly do with a deep clean and the sealant refreshed . Whilst showering the shower tray was full and we had to use our feet as plungers to get the water to runaway. If we hadn’t done this there would have been a serious leak We also found it very difficult to find a parking space anywhere near the hotel and it was pouring with rain. We later discovered that the hotel is used by customer who are going on cruises and are leaving cars parked for weeks at a time. Making it difficult for non cruise customers to get anywhere near the main entrance. The description says there is an indoor swimming pool, this is very misleading as it is not in the hotel itself but a few hundred yards away in a sports venue. So overall we were very disappointed with our stay.
