8/10 Very good

Staff were extremely helpful all during my stay.

This hotel appears to be in the middle of a renovation (9/26/25). Room was clean and comfortable. Hallways and outside need work. Very few amenities.

Worst place ever, dog hair, stinks, creepy, weed smell, poor service

Buggie

Don't expect to walk into a "professionally cleaned room" "to hospital standards" and find dead bugs all over the room. Left without staying
Ross, 2-night trip

Room and bathroom weren’t cleaned. There was black mold on the top of the bed frame. Large holes in the hallway carpets. Mold smell everywhere.

8/10 Very good

I wasn't disappointed in terms of value for money; contrary to the reviews, this hotel may no longer have the luster of the old Holiday Inn, but I would honestly stay there again on my next visit to Rutland. The room was very nice, clean, with the expected little extras. The bed, bathroom, refrigerator and microwave, air conditioning, and TV were all very good. And what about the location, which is very convenient, with all amenities nearby?

If all you need is a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and a hot shower on the cheap this is the place for you. It’s also very quiet and private because it’s mostly empty. There’s no coffee or plastic water cups but you get a fridge and a tv, soap and tiny shampoo bottles.

Run down

It was like going to a ghost town. Restaurant and pool were closed. the care of the hotel was very run down and disgusting. From the grounds to the hallways. Puke and garbage everywhere. My toilet had no water to flush. No cups, no hair dryer in the room. One queen bed and not two as reserved

The property was overgrown with weeds and the parking lot was dirty with debris and garbage. Inside the hotel was dirty. It didn’t look like they vacuum the floors.

This property was in serious need of cleaning and updating. It was haggard. We actually got another hotel and left after just 15 min.

Stay elsewhere

Very dirty. Halls full of clutter, tv's just sitting there. What looked like uncooked Raman noddles down the hall. Found out after check out that they just reopened after being shut down from the Health Department. The low price wasn't worth it.
Shaun, 1-night trip

In despair

It looked abandoned when we pulled up, grown in grass/weeds all over. Nothing in the building is open except for checking in to a room. When we entered the room, we smelled cigarette smoke right away. Then we noticed a separate door at the back of the room. It was unlocked & lead to a grass common area. Everything about the room made us feel very comfortable & if it wasn’t so late already, we would have left.

The pictures on Expidia do not represent what the place looks like this hotel is disgusting you should be ashamed to advertise this hotel. I understand there are actual pictures from others who were there you need to see them. I will be requesting a refund

Not ready to open

Newly reopened (previously was a Holiday Inn) so nothing is avaliable-no breakfast, pool, ice, vending, TV, phone, wifi, etc. Room didnt have garbage cans - but the front desk was able to get us some right away. No shower amenities, including no shower curtain. Mattress is very hard.
Tia, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Awful. Everything is in very bad conditions. Rooms are dirty, bed sheets had blood stains, I had to sleep on top of the blanket. It looks like the place is from an other world and ready to close.
Anthony, 1-night trip

Price too high for such a gross place

This place is just reopening again but they are not ready for guests. No pool, hot tub, or gym as advertised. It’s a high price point for no amenities and an abandoned looking property. Bed was rock hard and I barely slept. Front desk staff were the only exceptional part of my stay, the rest was terrible
Brittany, 1-night trip

THE PROPERTY WAS DIRTY AND RIPPED CARPET AND GREASEY SLIMMY FLOORS I HAD TO REWASH FLOOR CAUSE I WAS SLIDDIING, NO HOT WATER AND THE DOORS DID NOT WORK RIGHT HAD TO HAVE THEM COME LET ME IN MY ROOM I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. THE OUT SIDE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS ABANDED AND GROUNDS LOOKED BAD HIGH GRASS AND WEEDS EVERWEAR ROOMS HAD NO SLIDING CURTAINS TO SLEEP OR PRIVACY. BAD HOTEL .

Hotel from Hell

The rugs on the stairs and the hallway were filthy dirty!!! My peep didn't exist! It was stuffed with a piece of toilet paper. My room had linoleum with a metal bed, and mattress on top of it?? The curtains didn't close. And I told at the event I went to in town by the police officer that the place had bed bugs, rats, and he used to patrol it 24/7. So 7 hours after arriving there I went back with protection and returned the key. Told them what I was told by the police officer and said I wanted a refund. Needless to say I've heard nothing from them. I could on but I feel it's a waste of my breath.

This is a homeless shelter, which I did not know prior to arriving. I don't find homeless people necessarily frightening, but some of them can be. The parking area was full of stuff and overgrown, and really uninviting. This was once a very nice property, when it was a Holiday Inn, and now it is completely run down. I actually left and went to a different hotel, so I paid double for the night in Rutland. I guess it's too late to ask for a refund. But I would not recommend this place, at least not right now.
Elizabeth, 1-night trip

First room the door was already open, had no toilet paper, and TV did not work. Second room they gave us had plumbing issues, a bad smell, and a big fan in the middle of the room. Went back to lobby and the worker had left.

Steer clear of this place

What a dump. The first room they gave me didn’t even have a light in the room. It had a beautiful view of a vacant parking lot full of trash. The second room they put me in the curtains wouldn’t close and there was a dog in the next room that barked most of the night. No phone in the room so I couldn’t call to complain. Didn’t get much sleep for a long day at work the next day. Can’t imagine this place staying open very long with the amount of bad reviews it has. I usually don’t read reviews because they vary so much but after staying here the good reviews must have been from the owners.
