Great Bar Harbor Accommodations

Great stay steps away from everything in Bar Harbor. The hospitality of B&B owners was wonderful and they took great care of us. Our room was spacious and charming as is the whole property.

My wife and I absolutely loved this place the staff made it feel like family. Between the amazing breakfast, wine and cheese time, and fresh baked cookies always out for i wish i could give more than 5 stars. The magnificent style and class of this establishment was on display in full and made us feel the history involved with Bar Harbor. Until next time and trust me when i say there will be a next time.

4 days in Bar Harbor.

Ideal location, easy walk to restaurants & attractions in Bar Harbor. The morning breakfast was very filling - kept us full for the day for our hikes in the park. Wine & cheese in the afternoon and breakfast community table was ideal for mingling with other guests. The owners were extremely courteous and very helpful with their suggestions.

The location of the property is perfect! Just one block from the main strip so you are extremely close to all the food and shopping. The house is beautiful and the main areas are well furnished. The property is very clean. I ate way too many of the cookies which are left out daily- so delicious! My room was on the third floor (attic level). I loved having the space of a suite. My only issue was with the bathroom. Because the room is built in the roof line, the ceilings are low in the bathroom. The shower was very tight with a rain shower head that was too low for my fiancée who is 6’3. I’m 5’9 and just barely fit underneath.

Location and parking are great. The morning conversations with owner/ staff were wonderful and informative around a royal dining table, with a healthy scruptious home made breakfast. Bed and linens were royal indeed. The 5 to 6 pm wine cheese n crackers were a nice surprise. Loved to feel pampered.

We found this inn almost by accident. We were delighted! The staff were amazing and the innkeeper was very informative and responsive to all of our questions. The room was very comfortable, large, and homey. Breakfast each day was superb! When we come back to Bar Harbor, we will definitely stay at The Stratford.

We had a wonderful time at The Stratford! The breakfast was delicious, and they offered a few options. The location is perfect - within walking distance to almost everything. The building is gorgeous, and the staff were super helpful. We loved hearing about the history of the building from Anne. We would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed for a long weekend anniversary trip at the Stratford and it elevated our vacation in wonderful ways! The house and accommodations are beautiful and very close to everything in downtown. We could easily walk to everything in Bar Harbor. But the thing that made the accommodations really special was the owner and staff! She made us the most incredible breakfast each morning, set out fresh baked cookies during the day, and had a wine and cheese snack in the evenings. We made time to sit, enjoy, and have conversations. The Stratford exemplifies perfectly the way life ought to be! We would definitely return!

We had a delightful time staying at Stratford with Anne. The property was spacious and well maintained, and Anne provided impeccable service with fresh cookies, wine & cheese, and incredible breakfasts. The location was great, as we could walk to anywhere in Bar Harbor and easily hop in the car to head to the park. We absolutely loved our stay!
