No Good

Room was dirty. The bathroom had an odor of sewage, the bed sheet had a blood stain. Reserved the room for 2 but was missing a secondary pillow. The office chair had a noticeable white stain. The shower head couldn't even stay in place, had tape around to somehow magically hold it together. All these issues could easily be fixed. The breakfast grab and go didn't even have a good selection, only wrapped muffins, breakfast bars and coffee out of a gas station.

The refrigerator was very noisy. Had to raise the volume of the tv. To drown out the noise. The shower worked but the water has to be put at the highest setting. Because all the water kept coming out through the bathtub faucet. Also very loud

Not great

The room we had was pretty dated and had damage to the bathroom countertop. The place wasn’t very clean. The kitchen doesn’t have any dishes or glasses unless you ask for them. It was convenient to MetLife Stadium but I probably wouldn’t return here.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it's a non-smoking facility. The bed only had 3 pillows for 2 people as well as a thin blanket and when we requested another one of each (on different occasions)we were told they didn't have anymore. Same situation for towels. You get 1 bar of soap and 1 tiny single use shampoo for the shower.The accommodations were sub par.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Noisy, Unbearable Room Conditions We stayed for two night and were placed in 504 room that turned out to be directly above or adjacent to the hotel's laundry facilities. From late evening into the early morning hours, the entire room was filled with constant noise and vibrations every time the machines were running. It felt like we were sleeping on top of an industrial dryer. The walls and floor literally shook, making it impossible to relax or get any sleep. We tried to wait it out, hoping it would stop—but it didn’t. It was one of the most uncomfortable and exhausting nights we’ve ever had in a hotel. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk, the response was indifferent at best. No offer to change rooms, no apology, nothing. For the price we paid, this level of noise and disruption is completely unacceptable. If you value your rest, I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere—at least until they sort out this issue or stop using rooms so close to the laundry area.

I liked the call which came from the front desk about twenty minutes after I arrived. Staff member asked if everything was okay; and it was. Especially after this proactive phone call.

This is nothing like what Expedia is advertising. This Extended Stay did not have a pool, conference room, or a gym which are all three of the amenities featured on the site when I booked. Besides the friendly staff, this was a complete misrepresentation.

I recently stayed at Extended Stay America for three nights, hoping for a comfortable and peaceful retreat after long days exploring NYC. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but pleasant, and I feel compelled to share the issues I encountered. From midnight to 4 AM, the room was repeatedly shaken by loud vibrations caused by the hotel’s 24/7 laundry service. This made it impossible to get a restful night’s sleep, which is the bare minimum expectation when paying $500 for a three-night stay. As a traveler who spends all day out and relies on a hotel for rest, this was incredibly frustrating. The corridor outside my room was equally appalling. It had a creepy, rotten smell that lingered throughout my stay, and the hallways were filthy, making the environment feel neglected and unclean. This added to the overall discomfort of the stay. When I raised these concerns with the staff, I was met with arrogance and indifference. The management’s response was dismissive, essentially telling me, “If you don’t like it, check out, and we’ll refund you.” This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to address the issues was shocking and unacceptable for a hotel of this price range. For anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place to stay in NYC, I strongly recommend avoiding Extended Stay America. The disruptive noise, unclean conditions, and rude staff made this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and find somewhere that values its guests.
