Lacking Customer Service

The female at the front desk lacked customer service. Had an air pod in the whole time. Seem annoyed when we checked in, and really annoyed when we paid cash for snacks and water. Service was terrible. The gentleman in front of me checking in was also frustrated with the female worker. Owners and managers this is a reflection on you. Please train her in Basic customer service 101. Please do not tolerate this from staff. Otherwise you will continue to have upset customers. I don't know if she was just having a bad day, but our experience could have been much better. I gave a 3 star not because of the actual hotel. The Hotel was very clean and nice. Housekeeping was very helpful and friendly. But due to lack of front desk female customer service.

Not the friendliest staff but otherwise ok

Staff at reception wasn't as welcoming as almost everywhere else, not rude but got the vibe of "what are you doing in here". Also gave us the room from the furthest corner of the building, felt like there was something personal although wouldn't know why. But otherwise everything was ok, nice and clean room but a bit outdated. Pool was nice.

Only perk, Casino is 10mins away.

Staff was less than welcoming, but I am thinking that is just the culture. Checked in at 4p we were on the 4th floor the a/c was set to off so it was hot in the room for it being August in Texas, set it to 60, middle of the night got hot again. Heard every truck/car driving by, heard every door slam on our floor. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Casino is 10mins away. Road construction is ridiculous down 35.

Meh

We like to stay at La Quinta because they allow our small dog to stay with us. This La Quinta is a bit outdated. Specific issues with our room included: the office chair was old and all of the fake leather had worn off of it. The baseboard was stained with old vomit or some other type of grossness. The light up mirror in the bathroom did not light up. The mattress was the hardest most spring thing I have slept on since summer camp in the 1980s. Since I don’t believe in simply complaining, I would like to say that the sheets were clean, there was no weird smells. The breakfast buffet was OK. The coffee was hot. The staff was friendly. Would I stay here again? Most likely not.
This was the office chair in our room.
This looked to me like someone had thrown up and it splattered onto the baseboard. Unknown substance.

Great rooms friendly people

Everything was great. People very helpful especially the gentleman who checked us in. We had a wheelchair accessible room. The bathroom was really large but the chair for the shower was huge. Too big for the tub Could use a little more choice of breakfast. Maybe bagels, or danish.

Not the best but not the worst

Text message encouraged to use app to make check in faster.Uploaded information to app and was then asked for same info again at check in and was told by staff "they could not access that information"Entire hotel smelled of mildew.Room bathroom needs to be redone - lighting behind mirror did not work, toilet seat was broken, water pressure not good, obvious leak in ceiling and down wall had a VERY bad patch job done and paint was peeling off ceiling.Location is good, comfortable bed and hotel was quiet.

Out dated hotel

The front desk agent wasn't very friendly. The hotel is very out dated. The bed was hard and a/c didnt cool the room very well. I will never book here again. The hotel definitely needs some upgrading.
