The Ira Allen House is an authetic traditional vintage house. It is clean & the rooms are comfortable. The owner, Mike is a great host & the breakfast is very good. If your looking for a high end hotel with all the bells & whistles, this is not your place. If you want a historic home rich in history and authentic Vermont, then you will enjoy your stay. We enjoyed our experience!

We had a lovely stay at the Ira Allen House. Breakfast was hot and delicious and Mike accommodated our gluten free needs from fresh pancakes to homemade cookies. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Vermont.

Beautiful old home with lots of historic charm. Plenty of spots to sit, relax and read in front of the gas fireplace or stove. Great breakfasts, all day coffee and tea bar and homemade cookies. Our room was big and comfortable, lots of natural light, well appointed with a gas stove, couch and sitting area. The only drawbacks were the shower was a little small and if you have trouble with stairs, this Inn would be challenging. Also Kevin was very helpful in making dinner plans and suggestions for local sites.
