First, the good: the front desk staff was fabulous - super kind and helpful. And the room was quite large, with a lot of space to spread out.
The not so good: The pool was closed and no one informed us at the time of booking or check in. We would have definitely gone somewhere else if we had known. The room was shabby - frayed carpet, peeling cabinet laminate, grimy walls. One of the two bathrooms was out of commission. The shower head was covered with a plastic bag and the lower tap was sealed off with a RUBBER GLOVE (which was somehow annoying, gross, and creepy, all at the same time). The TV didn't work. And at 10 am (well before check out time) a man barged into the unit without so much as a knock.
In fairness, I did not complain because I was tired and only staying for a night, so it's possible they would have moved us to a better unit. But the property was barely occupied, so I am baffled why they put us into a broken and gross unit in the first place.
