After the quick & easy check-in procedure, the rest of our time at the "Novotel Suites" was shambolic!
After we parked our car in the underground carpark, we unloaded our bags, and then tried to squeeze passed all the unattended laundry trolleys in the walkway near the basement elevators.
Then, when one of the hotel's 2 elevators had finally arrived, we had to squeeze into it along with a hotel staff member and their laundry trolley.
We arrived onto our floor and then began weaving our way along the, you guessed it, unattended laundry trolley laden corridor to our room.
Finally we arrived into our room and discovered that the fish-eye lens used for the hotel’s room photos must have been of high quality, because our room prepared for 3 adults was TINY!
And the so-called "kitchenette”, consisted of a small microwave oven (just big enough to warm up something the size of a grapefruit), a tiny sink that was too small to fill the provided leaking kettle safely, and 3 cups—that's it—no spoons, coffee or tea. Oh, I forgot—there was one 300ml bottle of water in the bar fridge for the 3 of us.
For our 5 overpriced €185p/night stay, we battled: through laundry trolley laden corridors; for the elevators; with the over-crowded foyer; and trying to sleep on the incredibly uncomfortable beds and pillows.
The only positives to warrant the 2-Star rating was the check-in process and the fact the roof didn’t leak.
I can only recommend this hotel to those who like to be inconvenienced.
