Everything at Maua was excellent. The staff was great, the room was amazing, especially the view. The food was really good, we tried several things from the menu and it was all delicious. We wish we had soent more time at the resort instead of going on a tour with bumpy roads and crowded destinations. The hitel is amazing if you want to just relax and hang out by the pool and have really good food

Bon séjour

Hôtel à environ 30 minutes en taxi du port. Villa 2 chambres avec piscine privée, très bien équipée, literie confortable, mais manquant un peu d’intimité à notre goût car vue plongeante depuis la piscine principale sur le séjour et le centre de la piscine privée. De même, il manque un peu de végétation d’un côté, ce qui implique aussi une vue sur la terrasse de la villa depuis le solarium. Enfin, nous aurions vraiment préféré qu’une paroi vitrée givrée ( même si elle ne fut pas toute hauteur) isole aussi visuellement un plus efficacement la salle de bain. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis à l’aise pour prendre une douche, surtout de nuit. Personnel parfait. Restauration correcte. Avons passé quand même un bon séjour.

Despite the hotel packages are more expensive than outside, the extra costs do deliver a much better experience and service, making the money's worth.

Wir haben zwei Nächte in einem Bungalow mit zwei Zimmern und einem eigenen Pool verbracht. Anlage ist der Hammer. Service war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Frühstück und Abendessen waren ebenfalls top. Es hat alles gepasst und wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Although the resort was newly opened and some of the facilities (e.g. gym) were still to be completed, we had an amazing time at Maua and will be sure to return. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with our 2 children, and loved the resort. The food was great, the sunsets and views were amazing, but it was really the staff who helped take it to the next level with the friendliness and great advice, all of which helped to ensure our 5 days in Penida were the highlight of our 2 weeks in Bali.

Perfect start to our honeymoon!

Our stay with MAUA was a perfect start to our honeymoon. Upon check-in, they upgraded us for a very minimal cost to a sunset villa overlooking the ocean and had a sweet Congratulations cake waiting for us. The villa and the accompanying view were absolutely stunning. The staff was so accommodating and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was amazing. Several reviews discuss the short portion of bumpy dirt road before the hotel, however, it was only a small portion and didn’t detract from our experience in the slightest. I wish we could have stayed longer! Such an amazing find.

Magnificent! Ultra friendly staff. Superbly clean and second to none private views of the bay. These villas have both privacy AND the views AND the infinity pool. The staff organised everything for us; transfers to and from the ferry, private snorkelling tour, rental scooters/driver for the day (whichever you prefer, but we recommend the scooter. It's more convenient and adds to your authentic experience!), We had two different rooms (different price) and enjoyed both.
