Overall, I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking to relax.
Staff is very friendly and more than willing to help you if needed.
The room was okay, comfortable enough. Daily restock for bottled water. Take it with you so they’ll restock and you’ll have extra.
The beach is down a little path and across the street, takes less than 5 minutes to get there. It was clean, with chairs/cabanas available. The pool is very nice too, and it has a swim-up bar/live entertainment some nights.
For breakfast and dinner, there’s a buffet and the food there is just okay. For lunch, there’s a restaurant at the resort and one on the beach, which were way better than the buffet in my opinion. You HAVE to go to the Chef’s showcase and the Lotus Leaf. Those dinners were our favorite, and the resort even made reservations for us. They have all-day coffee too.
I would skip their special occasion dining opportunities, wasn’t worth the price I paid. There’s a gift shop, but I found better souvenirs at the airport since we didn’t really shop elsewhere. We spent 5 full days here and didn’t do any excursions, which we were just fine with. It was nice to just “be” for a while and that’s exactly what I got out of this trip. You’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors, so plan accordingly. It’s a peaceful time with not much to do.
Make sure you bring bug spray and put it on every single day, even if you think it’s not working.
