No problem with getting a parking space, very friendly and helpful reception welcome, room was gorgeous, tastefully done and full of little personal touches. Nice and clean. A big and very comfortable bed. We have stayed at a number of UK hotels (10+) this year and this is one of the few we are planning to return to.

Wonderful stay in stunning Scottish castle!

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Melville Castle.The castle is beautiful and well located for trips into Edinburgh,set in lovely countryside.It is very dog friendly,with a dog friendly area in both the restaurant and breakfast room.We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was perfect for a family stay with lots of space and very comfortable beds as well as being beautifully decorated.An extra bathroom or separate toilet would have made it even better.We would recommend highly!

Fantastic hotel in the countryside

Excellent hotel , with lots of charm and character, outdoor seating was great in the gardens and bar is very comfortable and cosy. Restaurant was very nice and have yet to sample their afternoon tea. The staff were extremely professional and very helpful and i would highly recommend staying here

This hotel truly has a wow factor. Impressive from the moment you arrive. Michelle made the check in a delight. Perfect combination of professional and friendly. The room was incredible. Feels like stepping back in time staying here. It was lovely and quiet and the grounds are beautiful. Dinner was fantastic.. we had mussels and filet. Both were very good! The tub was huge which is my favorite. A nice retreat from the bustle of Edinburgh, relaxing and romantic. We want to come back.
