I was very disappointed in the physical condition of the hotel. The carpets were in poor condition. Some type of air freshener had been heavily sprayed. This scent had an effect on our eyes and sinus. The television in the room would not work. The young desk clerk tried a different remote. The television wouldn’t respond. On a good note, the breakfast was decent.

As soon as we walked in the room we saw a couple of roaches crawling around on the bed. We immediately got our belongings and went to the front desk. I requested another room and told the attendant why and they didn’t seem surprised nor apologetic, just gave me keys to another room. Once in our new room, it was very dated. Hair was in both beds. Bathroom wasn’t clean. Items were rusted, door to the bathroom had pieces of woods splintered off. We were informed that it takes 5-7 minutes for the water to warm up to take a shower. The seating in the breakfast area was old, worn out. Area near back entrance was filthy with trash overflowing from the garbage can onto the walkway for the duration of our stay. We ended up going to Walmart to purchase pillows, towels, linens, etc just to make it through the weekend.

The staff was fine. The lobby and room smelled extremely strong of cleaning products. Our room was in a very run down condition. There was rust on all the door frames. The bathroom door looked like it had gotten wet and swollen at the bottom. The laminate was lifting on the bottom inch. It was also scuffed and beat up looking. There was paint of something falling off the ceiling in the bathroom. It was hanging down in a huge circle about 2 inches. One of the hand towels looked staibed with either rust or blood. The refrigerator didn’t really get cold and looked beat up. The breakfast tasted fine, but I ended up really sick for a few hours after.

Bed was really comfortable. No amenities; not even tissue paper. Hallway hasn't seen a vacuum cleaner in awhile. Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing to bragg about. Limited fruit and eggs are unusual. Waffles were the best part. Dining chairs are long past their wearout date. Next door is a Walmart, very convenient. Freeway is within 200 yards. Very easy on and off. Lots of nearby shopping. Casinos are 5-10 minute drive. Cheapest gas on my cross country trip west to east was the previous exit (Buccees, $2.32).

We arrived to find our room very cold- 61*. There was a large section of water soaked carpet under the ac unit. I was able to turn the heat on for an hour. Which made the room more comfortable. Sandy floor in bathtub and shower water temperature was cool to cold. We were tired after a long drive. We notified the management the next morning of room conditions since we were very tired after a long drive and late arrival. Staff were very nice in spite of room issues.

I never ever will stay here again. The room was nasty. It wasn't clean. I had to change to a second room and that one still was not Clean. Nasty. Bloody tissues on the floor wasn't clean underneath. It was just it was a nasty place to stay. I would never stay there again, not with the experience that I had.

Although the staff was very friendly, the cleanliness of the two rooms (we had to be moved from our first room) was very poor. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again due to this reason.
