The overall stay turned out okay. The staff were all very nice and very helpful. That is why my score for this hotel isn't any lower.
Our main issue was that our rooms (yes, we were moved to a second room after the first one was found to be dirty) were not cleaned well, if at all. In our first room, there was dust/dirt in small areas, so the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. However, the biggest issue in the first room was that there were food crumbs in the bed, which had been made. The main issue in the second room (besides food crumbs on the floor) was ants. There were only a couple ants in the bath tub when we first went into our new room, but the next morning, there was a swarm of them all over the coffee table. We didn't have open food lying around, so I'm not sure what attracted them.
Again, I'd also like to mention how helpful and friendly the front desk staff were. They did what they could to try and make our stay better, and after still having issues with our second room, we received a refund. I'll boil it down to one pro and one con for this hotel:
Pro: Front desk staff were very friendly, competent, and helpful.
Con: The rooms were not very clean, and I imagine this will continue to hurt the customer score for this hotel in the future if this area is not improved.
