Staff asked us to pay $170 MAD city tax when we checked out in hurry. We subsequently realised we had already paid that at the time of booking. In short, staff asked us to double pay what we have already paid. That’s not right. :(

We really liked everything about our stay at this beautiful Riad. The room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was perfect. The best part was the delicious breakfast - we all really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed chatting with Aziz about the history of the Riad and a few other things. The staff was all very courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this Riad when staying in Rabat. Do keep in mind that as with all Riads in the Medina, cars cannot take you all the way to the hotel. In this case, the RIad is only a couple of minutes walk from the street, so not bad at all compared to some of the other cities in Morocco we stayed in

Riad Almazhar is a pleasant riad conveniently located within the medina. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the common open courtyard relaxing and the breakfast was a very nice traditional one that for us was filling. A plus is its location with an easy walk to transportation outside the medina as well as to the whole medina and to Nouvelle Ville and the kasbah. Our manager was extremely helpful in arranging a cab to the train station which we really appreciated.

Wonderful Riad in the old Medina

Lovely authentic riad right in the Medina. Enjoyed it very much and would stay again. The breakfast was wonderful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The only problem for some would be the stairs there is no elevator so if u can’t climb stairs request a room on the ground level

Located in a hidden alleyway in the Medina, this Riad would be an attractive choice for many. Rooms are not spacious and the bathroom is tiny but the beds were very comfortable.

For our 2 week stay in Morocco, we booked Riad Almazhar as a stop over while we passed through Rabat one night. We booked some roads, some hotels, which included some 5 star hotels as well. Out of the full journey, we definitely loved Riad Almazhar a lot during our trip and the quality is similar to a premium hotel stay. The Riad is quaint and beautiful. The staff welcomed us with tea and completed a quick check in. The room we booked on the rooftop floor was spacious and clean, with a TV and king bed. All modern amenities. Breakfast the following morning was delicious, as the staff were so friendly. Honestly the best breakfast we had in a riad, as some riads are stingy about quality products provided. The riad is centrally located too, though I’m not sure it would be good for solo or female travelers to be out late in the evening if this is a consideration for you. Rabat is overall safe, but parts of the Medina were dim when I took a walk. Of course, just be cautious and respectful. Overall, 10/10.
