we were traveling to visit family in the area and booked a 3 night visit at this marriott. our room was located next to the fitness center, and unknown to us, the fitness enter plays very loud music 24 hours/day. The first night I had trouble sleeping and couldn’t figure out where the music was coming from. needless to say, once I realized that it was coming from the fitness center, I asked that it be turned down. The front desk said that they weren’t sure how to do that but that they would try. They did offer to move our room, but I declined since we were heading out and I had confidence that they would figure out how to turn down the music. The second night was no better, even though they “tried” to turn it down. When I inquired again in the morning I was told that the music was controlled by corporate! The loud music interfering with my sleep was only one issue I had during this visit. I was surprised that daily housekeeping was not routine, especially since the hotel was less than a quarter full. I was also surprised that simple little creature comforts were not included such as a shower cap or makeup remover pads in the bathroom. They did have a coffee pot in the room as well as a starbucks in the lobby, but no complimentary coffee in the lobby. We travel quite often and I’m disappointed to say that we will not be staying here again.
