✅ What We Liked 🏝️ Stunning natural location – crystal-clear beach, beautiful surroundings. 🙌 Great customer service from Rich – attentive and upgraded us to a better villa. 🍽️ Food was decent – nothing exceptional, but satisfactory. 😊 Staff improved over time – service became friendlier as days passed. ❌ What Needs Improvement 🏚️ Poor room conditions – leaking A/C, peeling walls, dirty bathroom, and a poorly installed shower. 🚧 Ongoing construction – several areas of the hotel under renovation. 🏊 Unclean pool – initially dirty; cleaned only after complaints (we didn’t use it). 🛠️ Outdated, poorly maintained facilities – in need of serious renovations. 💸 Not worth the price – stayed in better-maintained, lower-rated hotels in Playa del Carmen & Cancun.

We loved the beautiful beach and the stunning natural surroundings — the sunrise and sunset views were absolutely unforgettable. However, the facilities could definitely use some maintenance, as a few things were worn down or not functioning properly. The food was good overall, but there could definitely be more variety, especially for longer stays. Unfortunately, we did encounter a few waiters who were noticeably rude, which took away from the overall dining experience. There’s potential here, but a bit more attention to service and menu diversity would go a long way. Big thank you to Rich for being so kind and accommodating! He helped us move to a better room, which made a big difference in our stay.

The location the best thing about the resort. Every moment was about trying to up sale us from the moment we checked in. All inclusive should be called all excluded. Service is based on the color of wrist band they put on you. The civichira is $50/day PP, premium drink $50/day PP. if you want to upgrade from a basic room to a room with view it’s $100 per night. All of the food was a disappointment, we went out of the resort to eat, drink and for entertainment. The resort shuts down at 10pm. When departing from the resort with our luggage, we were ordered by security that we had to return and check out. They chased us down to our taxi cab. I would have to say if you don’t comply and buy everything they try to upsale you are treated like. Second class guest.

Tuve un accidente y no pude viajar, mande email al hotel para pedor que me ayuden buscando una fecha aunque sea en temporada baja, entiendo las politicas, pero viendo en la web que aun habian cuartos disponibles y mi peticion nonafectaba sus ingresos, creibque al menos me responderian, pwro nadie se timonun segundo en responder. Yo piensonir en otra fecha, sin embargo ya no ire a este hotel que no tiene capacidad de escucha al cliente. Al menos un mensaje de respuesta hubiera sido oportuno pero hubo una falta de emoatia y de respuesta , muy decepcionada.

Es una lástima las vistas e instalaciones que tiene este lugar; la playa es preciosa, pero su servicio al cliente es fatal, horrrible y llega ser hasta estresante; el precio es demasiado si hablamos de su servicio; los tragos son apenas con alcohol, la comida no tiene variedad, sus restaurantes a la carta nunca hay disponibilidad y el capitán para e que te hace un favor en atenderte. La playa es preciosa; es una lástima en verdad el mal servicio; a quien pretenda ir a playa norte busque otro hotel y contraten un club de playa, mil veces más recomendado!!

This was my second time staying at Mia Reef. They are well known for their beautiful location in Playa Norte. We did the all inclusive at this resort. The food is subpar. We were expecting better quality. The outside dining area has a lot of birds they fly around you and leave excrement on tables, chairs and floors. They need to have someone solely responsible for the cleanliness of that area. They are also a good 15-20 minute walk to everything in town. You definitely would want to rent a golf cart to get around. Mia offers a golf cart rental but they upscale the price. We chose Mia because of the location- you can’t beat it! If you’re looking to be “Wowed “ this resort is not the place.

We just spent 5 days at MIA, the staff was great and the location of the resort and beaches are unbeatable. My only complaint is the rooms are very outdated and the bathrooms are small. I would definitely do another trip to this resort for sure.
