Unfortunately we were given two rooms adjacent to the staff entrance. Staff were arriving from 5am and continuously pressing the electronic buzzer which was way too loud and could be heard from our rooms. To make matters worse some of the staff would hold loud conversations impeding a good nights sleep. The staff attitude when we complained was one of indifference and they also confirmed that other guests had complained in the past. Knowing there is a problem and not doing anything about it demonstrates a lack of professionalism.
On another note, we ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was terrible and small portions. To be honest I found that the quality of the food was well below standards and overpriced.
Rooms were looking a bit dated and dusty, but comfortable.
The hotel itself is quite beautiful and striking as this used to be a monastery of sorts…
Personally I wouldn’t stay here again because of our experience.
