This hotel is in an odd place and not extremely easy to get to, it’s on one side of a divided highway and requires a U-turn if coming off I25. When we arrived at 3pm there was only 1 car in the lot and it looked absolutely deserted. Even when we returned for the night, around 730, there were only about 5 cars in the lot. Check in was easy, but the property felt abandoned. I booked on hotels.com, it told me the “incidental” or “hold” fee would be $25, as it turns out the hold was $100, which is more than the cost of the room for 1 night - this wasn’t a big deal as it was pending return to my card the day we checked out, but it did seem odd that the hold was more than the cost of the room. There are no elevators but only 6 or so stairs to get to floors 1 (basement) and 2 (above main level). From the front desk you will walk through the large breakfast sitting area, where the lights were off, making it feel even more deserted. When we got to our room it was clean, but dated. The bed was like sleeping on concrete, so if you like a more plush bed, this is not the place to stay. In the morning breakfast was decent, but there were only a few bagels and 1 muffin at 830am. There is a cereal option, but milk was in carafes and not refrigerated, it was warm by the time we got to it at 830. Overall I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
