Five-star experience

Overall excellent stay! Superb location in a quiet street but close to central Stockholm & Djurgården, tunnelbanan and the lovely Östermalmen area. Rooms and bathroom with good space, clean & tidy + a delicious breakfast buffet!

Nice stay

Nice, clean and convenient hotel. 20 minutes walk to most attractions like Gamla Stan, Vasamuseet and Central station. Also close to a couple of metro lines. Breakfast was excellent.

The Profil Hotel was very clean and in an excellent location. The breakfast was unbelievable. My room was on the sixth floor and very warm. I had to open the windows, but listened to a large noisy motor running all day and night. The front desk offered me a floor fan. Don’t stay on the sixth floor.

Overall, our stay was great. Nevertheless, it would be appreciated by the guests visiting in future to mention the fact that the bathroom has glass, fully see-through doors (and no, the see-through milky curtain does not help in this case). The breakfast buffes was delicious, except the horrible scrambled eggs.

Great Hotel

Excellent value for money. Small wines as a welcome at the hotel. Excellent! Good location. Walking distance from the train station. Short distance to Djurgården, which was the main destination of our trip. The hotel suited us very well. No complaints.

Good base for visiting Stockholm

We received a warm welcome and quickly received the key-cards to our room on the 1st floor, a twin classic. The room size was fine for the two of us, overlooking one of the main streets, but not noisy from passing traffic or people. The decor was nice and the room very clean, especially the bathroom where the fittings were of good quality + nice selection of sundries had been provided for washing etc. The air-conditioning was a disappointment (it made a bit of noise but no difference to room temperature) - however, we didn't really need it during our visit, with external temperatures remaining reasonable. The television / entertainment requires updating, in my view - only one English-speaking channel (Sky News) isn't the greatest selection in today's society & expectations. Breakfast, on both days, held a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit & breads + preserves, which were all really tasty. Staff were always pleasant on Reception, always answering questions effectively (with a smile). Overall we felt the hotel provided good value for our visit, and would recommend to others searching for a place to stay in this district - a 2 min walk from the main shopping area, 15 - 20 min walk from the train station.

Service was dismissive

Two rooms travelling as a family. No warm water in second room. This was promised to be taken care of asap as they investigated during the first night as it was “not ok”. The next morning, new staff, their suggestions was 20 SEK compensation for the three nights(!) “no new rooms available”. We demanded two new rooms on same floor at least, as we had joined luggage. “We see what we can do”. Second round of investigation, now it seemed that the “water is not that cold” so “you can use it fine”. Still we demanded new rooms on a same floor (still joined luggage), and as my daughter was not able to shower in the cold water. “No rooms available”. We left the hotel for activities (after a loud negotiation in the reception) as we were running late. Thinking of switching hotels. After half an hour I got a phone call from the reception, that they can indeed put us on the same floor and have the rooms available, after all. The problem got solved only after things were escalated. I was pissed about the bullshitting and belittling of our customer experience. The night before it was already established that the water was indeed cold. I think they should at least stick to their own truth. I just take my money elsewhere in the future.

Ett bra hotell med utmärkt läge. Nära till allt och tunnelbanan på gångavstånd. Finns många restauranger och barer i området. Frukosten var generös och bra. Vi hade bokat ett superior rum som var i minsta laget och saknade sittplatser och garderob.

Havde bestilt dobbelt værelse med 2 enkeltsenge, fik et værelse hvor sengene var trukket så meget fra hinanden som sengegavlen tillod, ca 3 cm. Foto af værelset synede meget større og sengene var så man kunne gå imellem dem, ikke helt det vi fik

Då jag är mycket teaterintresserad, sett många, många föreställningar, född i Sthlm, men bott i Helsingborg sedan 1969, åker jag till Sthlm för att gå på teater, se utställningar, träffa gamla vänner. Fann denna lilla pärla till hotell och bott där sammanlagt åtta gånger sedan maj -24. Det enda negativa är dålig rumsbelysning, går nästan inte att läsa. Shopping intresserar mig inte. Som 81-åring har jag allt jag behöver.
