The first room we were sent to hadn't been cleaned. The hotel computer system apparently doesn't know which rooms are clean and which are available. The cleaning staff knew, but their input isn't sought.
The 2nd room we were assigned had multiple problems. There was water dripping from the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The faucet on the sink wouldn't turn off and there was a constant drip. The drawers on the dresser were missing handles, so couldn't be opened.
Communication with staff is abysmal. I filled out the online checkout form stating we'd check out at 11 am. At 9:30 am, a cleaning person came pounding on the door demanding to clean the room -- 1-1/2 hours before when I said we'd checkout!
There was no hairdryer in the bathroom. A bracket for one was there, but no dryer. There was no towel rack above the toilet. It had apparently fallen off and never been replaced.
On the positive side, the room was well equipped with beds, furniture (except no handles on dresser drawers), and TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The continental breakfast was decent, although could be improved by adding bagels or English muffins, milk, and liquid creamer for coffee. The coffee was good and the fruit and donuts were good.
Overall, the property would benefit with some TLC, improved communication between staff, a better computer system, and proper observance of guests' stated checkout time.
