I don't plan my travels so never know if or where I will spend the night. After stopping at a rest stop about 10 miles back to let my dogs out, I realized I had to get some sleep. A quick check led me to Luverne, Minnesota, and this Super 8. I booked it online as I was walking in the door. Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly. The wifi worked for teaching the classes I had to teach. And I couldn't wait to take a bath in a tub because I don't have one at home so always make a point of doing that. My stay was great.

First the positive. The girl who is on duty 24 hours a day does a really good job. She was willing to help with any request. As far as friendliness from staff, I would give it two thumbs up. But, the property is very outdated. Bed spreads and carpet were stained, the tub had a crack and rust spot about six inches in diameter, the molding around the room was peeling, table tops in the room were warped, some of the towels were stained, and the room had an unpleasant odor. It was one of the most unpleasant stays I have had.

Don't stay here!!

One of the worst motels I've ever stayed at. Room had mold and paint falling of the wall. The safe did not work. No watter pressure and could not maintain a constant temperature, scolding hot to feeezing every few minutes. Very smelly, like mildew, and dirty, our blankets had stains on them. We received a call at 11 stating they could not hold our room unless we gave them our card information over the phone. Hotels.com should remove them as a place to stay.

Situated next to a bar and adjacent to a highway, with loud neighbors, room was noisy. Earplugs helped. Tiny round toilets. Switches in weird places, some of which didn't work. Breakfast had waffles but no protein.

No elevator, dirty room, ceiling tile was falling down and the shower did not work. We could not stay, we checked in and checked out. Absolutely gross!
