This is our 3rd stay at Dynasty in the past month (we were helping our son move into his college apartment). The 2 times my husband stayed, there were problems: I had booked a room with 2 beds but accidentally put "1 traveler." Although it is the exact same price for 1 or 2 people, the receptionist refused to let our son stay. A coule of weeks later I stayed, and there were no problems. But again, the 3rd time, my husband's Expedia reservation had his full (passport) name, but his driver's license didn't have his second last name. The receptionist refused to let him check in until I got very angry on the phone. It's not like he was boarding a flight--it's a basic motel for pete's sake. Why my (very brown skinned, Mexican) husband was treated this way and I (blonde and blue eyed) was could easily be seen as racism. Perhaps it wasn't, but we won't be staying there again, even though it's conveniently located near our son's apartment.
