Nice friendly staff. The public areas are kept spotless clean but the room cleaning is not as good as I expected. The bed was very comfortable but we asked for a double bed and got 2 singles pushed together. Food is good but a little repetitive as the menu seems very limited. On the whole a nice hotel, but starting to look a little dated.

This hotel was CLOSED when we got there for major refurbishment or whatever. Neither Hotels.com nor Pestana contacted us beforehand to advise us of this, so we had to sort out our night’s accommodation for ourselves. SHAME on you Hotels.com

Never stay here. Only one floor has AC. Out of 10 day stay, only 4 dishes out of all meals [all inclusive] were tasty. I'm used to GOOD Portuguese food! This wasn't! Outdated building. Shabby amenities [ripped bathroom towels]. Canceled scheduled activity after ppl showed up for swim fitness class. Open balcony gym located over dining room. So while eating, you can hear the person running on the treadmill because you are in thr same room.

Madeira first timer

Hotel great , but problems finding it in hire car. No directions on website and is not well signposted. Local bus from the airport or a taxi much easier. Facilities very good - well worth 4 star rating. All rooms have sea view with balcony. Kitchenette spotless and has all items needed (except a corkscrew as we found) We stayed on B + B basis and there was a good selection of foods. Cooked food not always as hot as it might be, mainly due to people leaving off the covers. Good access throughout the hotel for any wheelchair users (and 2 lifts) Bar area very comfortable also TV area with reading materials . Themed evening buffets every night . We ate out so didn't sample this. Entertainment 6 nights per week seemed a bit limited as by the time we had been out to eat and came back, the entertainment had finished (by about 9.30) Hotel at one end of Funchal area and not much around this apart from a few bars/restaurants. Hotel courtesy bus into Funchal finished at 6pm so taxis needed after that. Walk into Funchal takes about 45 mins. Went to a dinner show at Casino and had taxi back - fairly expensive. (not late -- about 10.30) Guests were invited to presentation about holiday options and offerred gift for attending. Much longer than advised and seemed like timeshare although a bit different and called Vacation club. Went to presentation -- said no to offer but still got gift. (casino visit) Location of hotel only real issue.

En dehors de la plage difficile d’accès car trop rocailleuse, tout est parfait. La nourriture bien qu’abondante reste très correcte et variée.
