Great location and beautiful view in front of the pier. Bathroom was the best thing in the room, can tell that it has been renovated. Much room for improvement on housekeeping and the rest of the room, such as windows and cleaniness of appliances like hairdryer and kettle. Fair deal in terms of what we paid. At the same time, I can understand the mixed reviews.

A nice and economical place to stay

A grand seaside hotel with efficient service, popular bar and restaurant. Though facilities may be old e.g the lifts, yet they are well maintained. Entrance hall and lounge galleries are huge, relaxing, and comfortable.

An aging property that is showing it..... No housekeeping during my 3 night stay. Internet in lounge a bit erratic. Buffet breakfast was good and evening meal excellently presented and enjoyable......customer service was Louis deserves special mention - first rate....!! Overall an enjoyable stay.

Our stay was very good, our room was big and the beach view perfect. The inclusive evening meals were good, but, can always be hotter. My only shortcoming, to mention, is that the booking web sight makes no mention of a 40+ hotel car park at the rear of the premises, available at just £6.00 per day. That is cheaper than the on street parking available and far less hassle than having to either move or update a meter at 8.00 o’clock in the morning.

You can see how wonderful this old building would have been in the day. It has a kind of charm but feels like it could literally crumble at any moment it's clean and the staff are lovely. It's cheap and with a little bit of nostalgia a lovely stay great view perfect location and I would absolutely stay again.

Awful hotel. Filthy walls in room, filthy carpet. Strange smell in bathroom. Every wall in room a dark depressing grey colour. Upon check out I said "good morning" to the reception staff who were too busy chatting among themselves and totally ignored me when I was trying to check out. They looked straight at me but blanked meI therefore I simply left the key on the reception counter and left. Vile rude staff would never book again. I am a platinum member on hotels. Com and would say this has to be one of the worst. There are much better hotels in Eastbourne at a similar rate and with much better standards. Avoid at all costs.

The shower was nice and powerful. The room was clean. I always wipe down the TV remote wherever I stay. The antibac wipe was clear after giving the remote the once over. Breakfast was good and is better value if you pay at the hotel.

The staff are amazing at the Burlington - I've stayed there before and always had great service. It is right on the beach front, moments away from the pier, and about 5-10 minutes walk from the train station (I use a walking stick, so am slower) - you have to walk through town to get to the station. The rooms are always clean and well maintained, and staff are willing to provide extras on request. The only real downside (when on the top floor) is the water pressure is rather low.
