I recently stayed at Marmot Lodge in downtown Jasper and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and local attractions, which made exploring the area really convenient.
The service stood out as a strong point. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The room itself was a bit dated in terms of decor, but it was clean and surprisingly comfortable—definitely cozy enough after a long day of hiking and sightseeing.
That said, there were a couple of downsides worth mentioning. The carpet had a few noticeable stains, which detracted slightly from the overall feel of the room. Also, the air conditioning unit was quite loud when running, which could be a bit disruptive, especially at night.
Despite those minor issues, I’d still recommend Marmot Lodge for travelers looking for good value, comfort, and convenience in Jasper. It's not luxury, but it gets the job done—and the excellent service makes up for the quirks.
