A great experience!

Our stay at the Alaia Marriott was fantastic. The staff, food, and accommodations were excellent. Shout out to Elvis, Joe, and Captain Fito for truly great service. The excursions were so nice and well organized. The room was always stocked and clean, and all of the bartenders and servers were so friendly. Truly an impressive experience. We will be back!

Les algues Sargasses gâchent tout

Chambre magnifique, jolies piscines. Le seul énorme problème : la plage. Il ne s'agit pas d'une vraie plage il y a bien du sable et des palmiers mais, mauvaise surprise, juste au bord de l'eau, une échelle apparaît pour descendre dans la mer. Et surtout, la mer est envahie d'algues Sargasses. Elle est marron et dégage une odeur nauséabonde qui se répand dans tout l'hôtel. On la sent à la piscine, dans les restaurants extérieurs, même dans la chambre quand il n'y a pas de clim. Tout ce trajet pour ça, ça ne vaut vraiment pas la peine. Oui semble que les danses soient présentes de mars à novembre. Nous aurions aimé le savoir avant de partir.

Nice resort!

This resort is beautiful. Welcome protocal with the cool towel and refreshing drink is a nice touch. Pool area very awesome. Each restaurant and bar was lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff (shout out to kind Elvis and Eric who helped us upon arrival, Jomar at the rooftop restaurant, Josue and Eric at the pool bar, Tyrone at the ocean bar, Claudia & Caroline who served the poolside cabanas, helpful Celena with concierge service, and sweet Danielle at the Salt and Sea restaurant with our private dinner in the wine cellar). All were gracious, kind, and amazing components to the resort staff. The sargassum problem made the man-made beach front stay not as enjoyable. The ocean view reefhouse we stayed in was dated and had mildew in bathroom, making the price not worth it. The first day, we did not have hot water in the main bathroom sinks or in the kitchen and we had tiny ants in the kitchen even though we hadn't cooked or eaten in there yet. The staff did quickly rectify this the next day, for which we were thankful (thank u again Eric). However, the view of the empty beach (minus the brown in the water) was beautiful and it was very close to the oceanside bar and pizzeria restaurant. Overall, the resort is nice. Fantastic spa! Safe area. Lots of food and drink options. Golfcart parking right accross street is convenient. Pools are great! Staff is exceptional!!!

The property was super relaxing! Brought my son for his 10th birthday and though he is use to having a water park area on our vacations he still had a blast! The gym does need some more equipment and maybe an expansion for us who love to workout even on vacation:

We loved our stay! This resort is definitely worth it, we would go back. We liked that you can make it what you want it to be. Safe and nice having golf carts to get around when needed. Love the spa and pool. Husband got certified to scuba dive and that was a short walk!

This was exactly the kind of reset I didn’t know I needed. From the moment I arrived, I felt taken care of. The staff was warm and welcoming—so many kind faces willing to help with anything. The resort itself is beautiful: stylish, clean, and right on the water. My room was super comfortable, and I loved having a little balcony space to just breathe and take it all in. The rooftop pool was a vibe—perfect for relaxing with a drink and watching the sunset. I didn’t stay long, but even in two days, I left feeling refreshed. My only wish? That I had more time to explore everything (and eat more—because the food was so good). If you’re thinking about it—do it. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The Alaia is so beautiful! Everyone has access to a balcony from their room (not all are private but no one ever came near the one near my room). The pools are clean and there are stunning views from the rooftop adult only bar and pool! The food is delicious including room service. The staff are so helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They gave amazing recommendations, made reservations on my behalf, and helped me to review my itinerary as a solo traveler for safety. I informed them that it was my birthday, when I arrived there was a birthday cake in the refrigerator and a happy bday display on my bed! The cake was soooo good! I would definitely recommend this property 100%! Rent a golf cart to drive (Luxury, OJ, or Blue Hole are the best) as it is not close to town or other beaches. Taxi’s are expensive!
